The next day Adonis was standing outside of Luca's room, his hand hovering from knocking. He sighed and put his hand down. He leaned his back on the door, his eyes shut tightly. He was frustrated with himself. The door opened. He was on the ground, he looked up to see Aviana. She looked back down to him, blinking. He got up and cleared his throat.
"I was just trying to hear if he was up. I leaned to much I guess." He awkwardly chuckled and scratched the back of his neck. Aviana chuckled a bit to and nodded slowly.
"I will leave you to it then, I'll come and get you later Luca." She waved bye to him and left, Adonis walked in. Luca was laying on the bed and was wearing a robe. He looked batter but at the same time he look crappy.
"I just wanted to say sorry, I know that you aren't playing the victim and that I am. I am just pissed that I couldn't find a way to help you, you know more permanently." Luca chuckled and sat up.
"I'm not mad at you, I know that you needed to blow out some steam. It's fine." Luca stood up.
"Your standing!" Adonis ran over to him.
"Yeah, this will last for a month or two then my health will start to show. So let's get to work." Luca smiled to him and walked past him and into the bathroom.
"So what were you doing with Aviana?" He heard Luca drop something and started to laugh.
"Relax, I'm no longer interested. I just wanted to tease you." Adonis laughed some more and left, Luca opened the door only to see him gone. He sighed and went back into the bathroom.
"So?" Aviana asked when Adonis walked into the kitchen. She was making food.
"Good, you know how Luca is. I also asked what you two did before I came in." Aviana dropped the spatula on the ground. She turned to him.
"What did he say?" She chuckled nervously, he laughed.
"Nothing but he did the same thing. You both must be for each other." Adonis laughed again and took a bite out of an apple.
"You can't tell dad, we're going to tell him on his birthday." Adonis nodded.
"Okay, when is that?" Adonis asked, his mouth still full.
"This weekend. Can you pick up the spatula?" He bent down and picked it up, she went back to cooking with a different spatula.
"Pancakes?" He asked and then threw away the core of the apple.
"Yeah, I'm also making some eggs. And maybe bacon? I don't know. I have to take Luca to work and then have to take Lee to work. Dad's still working from home so at least I don't have to worry about him. Then I have to make lunch and take it to Luca so he'll actually eat.
"Then I have to make lunch for us. Then I have to clean, and make dinner and pick up Luca. Lee has night shift as well so I don't have to pick her up until tomorrow morning. But I do want to bring her dinner and coffee. " Aviana sighed.
"Damn. You got a lot to do, want any help?" Adonis sat on the counter, he was swinging his legs.
"Sure, you could take Lee to work. Oh, also bring her lunch and dinner? I have to clean her place as well." He nodded.
"No problem. I'll go get everyone." Adonis hopped off the counter and got everyone.
"OOO! My favorite!" James yelled once he saw all the food.
"Thanks, Avi." Luca smiled and sat by her. James started to take a bunch of food.
"Hey! Ol' man we have to eat to! Put it down." Luca tried to stop James from taking another piece of bacon. He wouldn't put it down and they ended up fighting.
"Hey! Boys!" Aviana yelled and they both ignored her, she looked to Lee for help. Lee sighed and got up.
"IT'S TO EARLY FOR THIS SHIT, shut up." She yelled. They both let go of the plate of bacon and sat with their mouths shut. Aviana laughed and patted Luca's back.
"Next time listen to me and you won't be yelled at." She laughed some more and high-fived Lee.
"No more food for pa but the rest of us can dig in!" Aviana clapped her hands and everyone but James started to dish up their own food.
"So pa, what do you want to do for your birthday?" Aviana asked before taking a bite of pancake.
"Just eat out? I don't know, I'm getting there in age and Luca can't do anything active." Adonis started to laugh like crazy, to the point where he was choking on his food. Aviana and Luca turned to him, their eyes glaring holes into him. He stopped laughing.
"I saw him stand up this morning! All on his own, I did help him here but at least he can walk!" He looked at Luca And Aviana for approval, they nodded.
"That's right, I did stand up. But this will only last for a month or two, so we should try to find something to help me or just give up now." Luca took another bite of food and Aviana hit the back of his head .
"Don't say that! We still have the bracelet, maybe we can find another one or something better." Adonis shook his head.
"It's the only one in the world. I mean that to. It was made by angel, one from a very high place. I could only get him here for an hour, he said that it should last for  two months in angel time. I have no idea how much time that is but... I don't think it will be enough." Adonis put is fork down, everyone turned to Luca. He was doing the math.
"Time moves differently for them, a month for us is not the same for them. I should have about a year. But if anything happens to the bracelet I will die."
"Maybe the way to go is to summon an angel again? Luca you can do that right? Or even Adonis you said that you summoned him right?" Aviana looked at them both.
"I can't I could get hurt or worse." Luca looked over to Adonis, he look down ashamed.
"I got a convent to help me, without them I can't.  And it took about a month to find them. Even now it would take that long. I'm sorry." Lee stood up.
"I may have found something but I don't know if it will work. And if it doesn't it will end with Luca dying." Lee took out a scroll, it was old and had a string keeping it from unraveling.
"Where did you get this?" Adonis stood up and walked over to her.
"When we were in Guatemala. It was at a gift shop, it was out of place. The person who owned the shop didn't seem to know where it was from and sold it to me for a few bucks." Lee set it down and took the string off. It rolled out.
"It's a f*cking map! Great! This won't do us any good." Adonis sighed harshly and sat down.
"A map always leads to somewhere though." Luca looked down to Adonis and smiled slightly.
                              "You're right." Adonis stood up.
They all looked down to the map, trying to see where it led to. And then it happened, Aviana saw where it leads to. Her mouth was open, they looked to her. She looked back to them all and turned to Luca.
