I walked back into my room, the cube in my hand. When Adonis stopped me.

"Are you really going to find his parents?" I turned around.

"Do I ever break my promises?" I smiled to him.

"No."

"You're right, I don't." I walked into my room and sat at my desk. I looked through the cube for a bit before opening up my laptop. Aviana came up to me and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"What are you doing?" She asked with a sleepy voice.

"Helping a kid." I turned to her with a smile and kissed her cheek.

"You should get some sleep, I'll be up most of the night I think." She nodded and let go of me and walked back to the bed.

I looked up "Deaths by fire in last year" and "Little boy named Jack, death by fire" the second one had something but it wasn't enough to go off of.

"A little boy dies and nothing about it is on here?" I scoffed and scrolled some more. That was until I got to the bottom of the page.

"Family destroyed by fire, son lost." I clicked on it.

"A family lost their son on the 15th, Jack was just eight. The fire killed him, and destroyed the house. The mother and father are getting a divorce, as Jack was their only child." I read out loud then read the date. May 17th 1980. He would have been about forty eight. I frowned, I couldn't find any names or anything about them. I called up on a favor.

"Hey. Yeah it's me. I want to cash in."

....... 2 days later........

My phone rang, I just got out of the shower. I picked it up.

"Yeah, thanks." I hung up. I went to my email. He had sent me everything about Jack's family.  I read it silently for a moment before opening my door and walking into the living room. I picked up the cube and looked through it.

"What did you find?" he asked.

"Everything, and more." I set it down.

"Did you find them?" he sounded excited. I sighed and rubbed my face.

"No?" he sounded sad now.

"I did, but I don't think they will come."

"Why not?" his voice now turned to anger.

"Jack, where did you find the lighter?"

"It was on the counter."

"Who told you not to play with it?"

"My grandmama."

"Why did your parents leave?"

"They had to go."

"Yeah but why?"

"They went to see a play."

"Why did you play with it?"

"Because they told me it can make things pretty. But they didn't want me to play with it because I'm not old enough."

"My dear Jack,  your parents have been divorced for years, and your father is dead. Your mother remarried right after, her son's name is John and her daughter's name is Lyla. Your father remarried and his kids were named, Ridder and Tila."  I heard him cry a bit.

"Do you understand what that means?"

"That I can't tell him I'm okay?" I sighed, but nodded.

"I'm sorry Jack. I could try but I'm not sure she'd come."
