It was silent, no one talked. Adonis stared at James. James was looking back to him, it felt like you could cut the air with a knife, the tension is overbearing.
I watched this happen, Adonis and Rillin having a staring contest.
"Well?" I broke the silence, James turned to me and smiled.
"Well, his isn't that bad. A curse that could help. Adonis Moore, you help people in ways other curses couldn't even imagine. I don't really know how to explain it, but the seven sins and you are connected in a way and you use that to bring out the worst in people. But then you fix them, if you stay around them long enough. Adonis, this curse is bad but at the same time it's the best curse you can have. Curses start with a grudge most of the time and evolve into something that the dead, usually can interfere with the living. It's given on rare occasion to those wronged and left but if they weren't, then an angel, demons and other things get involved."
"So, someone has a grudge towards me?" Adonis rubbed his temples.
"Not just anyone, your parents or a sibling. They have had to have known you for a long time. You would have been normal before but then receive this cures. It's well known that it comes from birth, what they mean by that there is someone who has the same blood as you. Close blood, your grandma and pa can't do these type of curses. And I know you don't have a son or daughter who hates you. That leaves a parent, your father or mother. Your father loves you, so your mother."
Adonis looked down, I could tell this wasn't easy for him.
"I think we should call it a day, I would like to show Adonis around London." I stood up and walked over to Adonis.
"Are you up for that?" He nodded and stood up, I lead him to the elevator.
...................
I was taken back by what Mr. Rillin said, so bluntly. I know he gets to the point and I'm not a kid but still. Luca lead me out of the penthouse. He pressed the floor button and we waited. He smiled to me.
"Where do you want to go first?" He asked me, I could see he was happy to be back. I know he moved here when he was young, his slight accent gives it off.
"Somewhere fun." He chuckled. He started to walk away.
"To have fun then!" He had his hand up and his pointer finger out. I looked to where he was pointing. It was a huge Ferris wheel.
"A Ferris wheel?" I looked to him, he shook his head.
"That's not any ol' wheel, that's the London Eye. Show some adventure!" He grabbed my arm and dragged me to the wheel.
"Two tickets please." The man selling the tickets looked over to him and nodded.
"That will be £80.00." I turned to Luca, I had no idea how much that was in dollars but it didn't seem cheap.
"Lets go." He handed me my ticket. I looked at it, he smiled to me and patted my shoulder. It felt like he was my older brother, he gave off a warm vibe. It made me feel less worried.
"How much was that in dollars?" I asked and walked by his side.
"Oh, no need to worry about that." He waved his hand.
"No, really though." I insisted, he looked down to me.
"Well, about fifty something? Yeah that sounds right." My jaw dropped.
"That's a lot of money!" I exclaimed still surprised about how much they cost.
"Well, you only see this view for the first time once. It's fine, I don't mind. I have the money." We rode it, the whole time I worried about how much it cost. But I have to admit, he was right. It was beautiful, unlike anything I've ever seen.
"Did you like that view?" He asked as we got off, we walked to a pub and got some drinks. For the rest of the day we had fun.
"You feel better now?" He asked, he didn't seem drunk at all. He drank more than me but was walking in a straight line and spoke with his normal speech. I was falling on myself and a mess.
"YEah! I had a great time! I've never had some much fun with someone before!" I burped, he laughed and called a cab.
"I'm glad, next time we should go light on the drinks." He chuckled, I turned to him.
"YOu mEAn YoU WAnt to DO ThIS agiAN?" I was over pronouncing things and making a fool out of myself.
..............
He was drunk out of his mind, I found it funny.
"If you want." I put him in the cab first.
"Inson street, 405." I told the driver and turned to Adonis again.
"I want. I really want." He was whispering over and over again. I once more chuckled to myself. When we got there I gave the money to the driver and took Adonis out.
I had him on my back and was walking up the steps of the building, ignoring all the eyes on me and whispers talking about Adonis and myself I covered his face when we first got out so he wouldn't have to be embarrassed tomorrow. I took the elevator and put him on the couch. I grabbed some blankets and a pillow. I also grabbed some hangover essentials and a glass of water. I put a small bucket on the floor by the couch and left to get ready for bed. I still had work to do though, so I stayed up until 9AM and by then Adonis had woken up.
I heard his puking and was glad I put the bucket there. I laid down and tried to get some sleep, when Adonis ran into the room.
"Time to get up!" He ran in, his voice very loud. To loud for a person who is hungover. I sat up.
"I didn't sleep. Let me get some hours in and then I'll take you places. Talk to James for a bit, learn some more things about your curse and stuff." I laid back down and covered my head with my pillow. He sighed and walked out.
............
He wouldn't get up, he didn't sleep so I'm not surprised but I really wanted to do stuff today. My head started to hurt, I took some pills I saw by a glass of water. I then went to look for Mr. Rillin. I traveled up the stairs to the second floor.
He was asleep and looked quite peaceful, I yelled.
"GET UP!" I yelled loud as I could, nothing. I gave up, I already gave myself a headache the last thing I need to to trouble myself. I went down the stairs and laid back down.
Often things are forgotten, never lost when remembered. Once found never lost, once lost never found. My words might make no sense to you, that's fine. Just interpret them however you want. But remember, to mark my words when I say that things can only go down hill when they are at the highest point.
