"Unfortunately, Drago, hindi sapat ang napili mong lupain para sa gusto mong flower farm. That would take more than that space at hindi ka naman pwedeng mag-extend dahil residential na ang matatamaan. If only may mas malaking isolated portion kayo. The thing is pag-aari ng mga Fermin and mga isolated na spot dito sa Jagbuaya."

I nodded my head and stared at the layout of my supposed to be farm.

Damn. This is going to be a problem.

"Can't we do anything about that?" I asked.

"Well kung makakakuha ka ng portion sa isolated part ng Jagbuaya, mas mabuti. Kaso hindi naman ipinagbibili iyon ng mga Fermin."

My forehead creased. Yes, they won't sell that for sure.

I looked at abuela's email about the properties.

I smirked.

They won't even need to sell it because those lands do not belong to them in the first place.

"No need to worry about this. I think I figure this out already." I stood and fixed the sketches.

"Okay then. Just drop to my office then."

"Yeah, I will." Tumango ako at kinamayan si Luigi.

The Fermins have been our family's friend ever since. It all started with our great grandfathers then to us, now. Sa sobrang close nga, pumayag ang lolo ko na gamitin nila lupa na sa amin na.

Let's just say that they were in a very difficult situation so they asked for help. My abuelo, being the good friend, helped them and aided them financial support in exchange for some of their lands. They promised to bought it back in time. My grandfather complied and the friendship continued.

But it turns out that as time passed they already took that for granted. They were too comfortable with the said friendship that they forgot about business already. Now, I understand abuela's sentiments about those lands.

Business is business. That's what she told me. Guess, that's also the reason why I am with her on this.

I needed that damn land.

"So, anong gagawin mo? You're gonna tell Tito Joaquin you want that land?" Cody threw the ball to the ring.

"As if naman papayag sila, bro. Di ba nga pini-preserve nila iyon? Isa pa may plano rin si Naga roon di ba?" Andy added.

I heaved a sigh and tied my shoelace. Tumayo ako at pinuntahan si Cody. I grabbed one basketball and dribble it.

"Anong plano mo ngayon, bro? That farm should continue." Si Dave.

"Guess, I'll have to follow abuela's suggestion."

I aimed at the ring and shoot the ball.

"Anong suggestion?"

I faced Andy.

"Test the waters." I smirked.

"Test the waters? What the heck is that, bro?" Si Dave.

"Tss. Just simple. I needed to know what their plans are before I will make my own move. I need to test the water, if it's hot then I'll need to re-route and wait for it to cool. By then, I'll be able to make my way in." I grinned. The three just stared at me in confusion.

Napailing ako at kinuha ang bola kay Cody.

I made a shot and got another basketball.

"Okay, so paano mo naman gagawin iyon?" I heard Andy.
