KUMAKAIN kami ng breakfast ni mommy, seriously naninibago ako sa kanya, first of all hindi siya sumasabay sa akin magbreakfast especially during weekdays and today is Monday pero tahimik lang ako na kumakain it’s not like I don’t want to eat with her hindi lang talaga ako sanay na nagtatagal siya sa bahay, usually kasi maaga pa lang nakaalis na siya at may time pa na hindi siya umuuwi lalo na kapag dire-diretso ang duty niya.
“So Chandria what are your plans on this coming weekend?” tanong ni Mommy habang nagkakape and yes she still call me by my second name.
Umiling ako, “I don’t know Mom, maybe stay in the house, practice dancing, nothing really.”
Ibinaba niya ang kape at tiningnan ako, “I’m planning on taking a leave this weekend you want to go somewhere?”
Nabitawan ko ang hawak na tinidor na gumawa ng ingay, “Sorry.”
She smile at me, “it’s okay sweetie I know you’re not used to this but I told you gusto kong bumawi.”
Napatingin ako kay mommy na nakangiti pa rin sa akin and I can’t help but smile too, I can’t believe this is really happening. “Really mom?”
“Yes, you can bring your friends para mas mag-enjoy ka.” She tilt her head.
Lalong lumawak ang ngiti ko, “Where to?”
Nagkibit balikat siya, “Well I have a client na inoperahan sometime ago and they offer their hotel and resort in subic, I might take the offer if you want.”
“Anywhere mom, but is it really okay na ayain ko sila Miles and Julia?”
“Of course, as much as I want to enjoy our time together alam kong mas mage-enjoy ka kapag kasama mo mga kaibigan mo and also to get to know all your new friends.”
“New friends? So I can invite…”
“Yes hon I want you to invite DJ.” She wink at me.
“And his friends?”
“You can invite whoever you want.”
Napatayo ako at niyakap siya, “Thank you Mommy!”
Tinapik tapik niya ang ulo ko, “Anytime sweetie para naman makabawi ako sa pagkukulang ko sayo.”
Lumawak ang ngiti ko, I can’t believe this sa dami ng promise ni Mommy before na babawi siya sa akin I didn’t really expect that it will happen and now, I can’t be more happier.
Napatingin ako sa wallclock, “Oops I should get ready baka ma-late pa po ako.”
HABANG gumagayak ako ay tumunog ang phone ko, pagtingin ko kung sino ang nag-text ay napangiti ako.

See you? Hindi na ako nagreply tinuloy ko na lang ang pagaayos sa sarili. I opt to wear a high wasted jeans, midriff top and a knitted cardigan dahil aircondition ang mga classroom so in case na lamigin ako, and my favorite chanel flats.
Paglabas ko ng bahay ay naabutan ko pa si Tatay Andrew na nagkakape and what surprise me ay yung katabi niya in his usual white shirt, jeans, vans and rayban wayfarers.
