Eren's POV

Honestly, I didn't know if I was okay with meeting his grandma.

I'm pretty sure she was sweet, but I couldn't accept taking other's foods, or rooming in their house. It just felt off, rude even.

Okay, I know they'll be fine with it, but still. Sometimes my anxiety gets the best of me.

I looked into our bedroom to see Levi sleeping. I heard a small whistle from his nose as he exhaled. I fangirled mentally, loving how cute he could be. I'm so glad I ended up with him. I can frankly admit, life wouldn't be the casual it would've been without him.

Tomorrow was our last day here in America, I was ecstatic to leave, but didn't want to.

Again, I started to fret about the plane. Was Levi okay with going on a plane? I knew he had acrophobia.

I grabbed a sweatshirt and slid on some shoes before exiting our apartment.

It was a rather misty and foggy night, with a pinch of humidity.

Our local diner, known as the Titan Wall Family Diner, was still open at this time. Mentally, I celebrated.

Walking in, I felt a rush of cold air brush against my face. Man, it made my face feel drier-in a good way.

A waiter came and took my order, it was just coffee. Honestly, coffee was just bean water-unless you added other things, like sugar or creamer.

I looked outside to see something I haven't noticed before. By the dumpsters, there was an alley. It was near the direction I came from, and all I thought was "How did I not notice that before?"

~

Putting a ten dollar bill on the table, I exited quietly, with only a handful of others nearby.

I swore I heard footsteps from behind me, but when I looked behind myself there wasn't a single life form following.

What if I got mugged here? What about in France?

Why was I so paranoid?

Luckily, I made it back to our apartment alive.

"Eren where have you been?" Levi turned on a nearby lamp, sitting in the love seat.

"I got coffee."

"It's not vegan."

"It's not vegan when you add sugar into it. It's just warm bean water."

"Whatever. You know what time it is?"

"Adventure Time~!"

"It's 3:01AM!"

"Well Christ, I'm sorry my thoughts kept me up."

"What are you so nervous about?" He stood up, crossing his arms.

"Everything and anything!"

"It's okay," He embraced me strongly, as I took in his scent. "you can do this. Do it for me, for yourself. You can get past this. We have a long day ahead of us, it'll be super busy. Let's just try to get some-" he yawned before continuing "sleep."

-1 day later-

"Eren! Wake up!" A familar voice shouted.

"Five more minutes mom."
