september second- N.E.W.T. classes

~ Addison ~

The first day of classes was always exciting. But in the past, I always knew somewhat of what to expect. This year was different. NEWT classes would be completely different. Instead of having only one new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher this year, we now had to deal with teachers in two new positions.

There was more excitement on this first day than there had been since first year.

I woke up to the sun in my eyes.

I must have forgotten to close the curtains last night.

After leaving Justin, I went and hung out with the others in Ernie's room. Everyone was completely plastered by the time I got there, so it was a good thing I left Draco when I did. They were playing truth or dare when I walked in.

"Fawn, truth or dare!" Ainsley stumbled.

"Dare," Fawn answered, her eyes wide and maniacal.

I was standing in the doorway unnoticed.

"I dare you to sit in Ernie's lap for 10 minutes."

Ernie's face turned bright red. Fawn flushed a little but covered it with a cheeky grin.

"If you insist. Get comfy Macmillian," Fawn said, ungracefully positioning herself in Ernie's lap.

He flushed, even more, sending the others into a fit of hysterics.

"Well this is certainly interesting," I commented loud enough so the others could hear me.

"Addie!" Ainsley cried. "I'm so glad you're here. The sexual tension between Ernie and Fawn is something you had to see."

"There is no sexual tension here," Ernie slurred, his mouth pulled into a goofy grin.

"Your dick says otherwise," Fawn mumbled with a chuckle. "Anyways, speak for yourself."

Matt and Hannah looked at each other, their eyes wide at the unofficial profession that had just occurred.

"Well," I said, trying to save my friend from an embarrassing first day of classes, "why don't we all just go off to bed for the night, hm? I don't think any of you want any other incriminating things to be shared considering you have no control over the words leaving your mouths."

"But we're just getting started!" Ainsley complained.

"The way you're speaking suggests otherwise," I responded. "Come on. We have classes tomorrow and it would be better if you sober up before then. Let's go, Fawn."

"But I just got comfy!" she protested.

"What is going on in here?" Justin asked, joining us in his room.

Great, I thought.

"We're just leaving actually, once Fawn stops giving Ernie a lap dance," I reprimanded.

"I was not giving him a lap dance," Fawn demurred, standing in protest.

"Hey, that wasn't 10 minutes," Ernie whined, standing up to follow her.

"Well then, this ought to make up for it," she said, cupping Ernie's face in her hands and kissing him as if none of us were there.

I looked at Ainsley in shock.
