Chapter 31

Nagising ang dalaga kinabukasan dahil sa sinag ng araw na pilit lumulusot mula sa siwang ng makapal na kurtina. She remembered it was being controlled by a remote.

Dinampot nya ang remote control mula sa side table at tuluyang hinawi ang kurtina. Tumambad sa kanya ang malaking floor-to-ceiling na glass window. Light immediately flooded the whole room. It was a guest room. Doon sya dinala ni Theo kagabi para makapagpahinga. Since it was too late to drive home, he suggested for them to spend the night at his pad – which she didn't refuse – because she was really too tired and just wanted to lay his back comfortably on the bed.

She tossed the blanket and rose from the bed. Doon nya lang napansin ang na isang oversized white button-down shirt ang suot nya.

Napangiti si Carson.

Hindi naman iyon ang unang beses na nagsuot sya ng damit ni Theo. But it feels different now that they're finally official. And honestly, she had always loved wearing his shirt ever since. She likes his smell and it feels like he's always hugging her.

Tuluyan nang bumangon ang dalaga at naglakad hanggang sa malaking bintana. Now, she appreciates the beauty of his place more. Hindi nya kasi napagtuunan masyado ng pansin ang view kagabi. She was too overwhelmed of what's happening that she forgot they were on the top of building with beautiful city lights.

Now, she can see the whole Manila skyline. She remembers Theo telling her that the whole penthouse has a 360-glass window. He loves the view and he wanted to see it everywhere in the house. And Carson thinks that was a wonderful idea.

"Good morning!"

Carson turned her head to the doorway.

Theo entered with her folded dress in hand and put in on the side of the bed. Pero hindi doon nakatuon ang attention ng dalaga. Her whole senses are now in chaos again. Sa lawak ng kwartong iyon, parang bigla ay sumikip nang pumasok ang binata. Bakit ba hindi? Ang masuyong ngiti pa lang nito, tila iniiba na ang mundo ng dalaga. Idagdag pa ang white shirt at sweatpants lang na suot nito – white shirt na sa tuwing gagalaw at humahakab ang magandang hulma ng mga braso.

"You're up early." He said as he walks towards her. "Did you have a good sleep?"

She nodded and smiled, trying not to gasp loudly when his scent filled her nostrils. "You?"

He didn't answer. Instead, he cupped her face and gave her a gentle kiss. It was soft that it almost like just tickling her lips.

Ah, what a way to start the day!

Before she could kiss him back, he already pulled away. But he remained his arms on her waist pulling her closer to his body.

"I didn't sleep at all knowing that my girlfriend was just in the other room." Masuyong sabi ni Theo.

Naramdaman ng dalaga ang bahagyang pag-iinit ng magkabilang pisngi nya. Hearing it directly from him makes her blush really. Boyfriend na nga ba talaga nya ang binata? What happened last night still feels like a dream. She wanted to laugh at herself. Para syang teenager na ngayon lang nainlove.

"Good morning, love." He continued that made her blush even more.

He's been calling her that since last night. And now they have that sort of an endearment.

"Good morning, love." She answered, smiling sweetly at him.

Unti- unting gumuhit ang malapad na ngiti sa labi ng binata.

"I hope you realize how good that sounds coming from you." He then leaned closer to her again to claim her lips for another morning kiss. This time, it was longer than the first one – and more passionate if she may add. Ano bang meron sa mga halik nito? It's so addicting.
