He woke up when he heard a loud shatter of glass in the living room. His eyes immediately opened wide despite coming from a deep slumber. The door on the foot of his bed opened and appeared the young boy who is slightly older than him standing in front of the blinding light coming from the hallway. The boy was holding the door knob while keeping the door open, and even though it is hard to tell, he could feel that he is looking straight at him.

"Jisoo, mom and dad are fighting." He heard his older brother say.

He immediately got up from the bed when he heard the news about their parents and ran towards the door. He was hiding behind Chanyeol's back when they slowly sneaked a peek at the living room from the staircase. There, next to to couch, was his mother holding the handle of a luggage with his father standing in front of her.

"You want to leave?" He heard his father say. "Then leave!"

"I'll leave this house and I'm taking our sons with me!" His mother answered.

"You're not taking anyone anywhere. You wanted to go, I'm letting you go. But you'll go alone."

"No, you're not separating me with my boys. Chanyeol! Jisoo!" Their mother yelled. Jisoo and Chanyeol stood from the staircase and was about to go downstairs when a pair of hands stopped them from behind.

"It is past your bed time." Mr. Choi said when they looked at their backs.

"Let go of me!" Chanyeol tried getting away from his grasp.

"Young master, listen. This is an argument between two grown adults. It is rude for little kids to interfere."

"Mr. Choi," Jisoo asked. "why are mom and dad fighting?"

"They had a misunderstanding." Mr. Choi said.

"Misunderstanding my foot." Jisoo turned his gaze when Chanyeol cursed. "It's obvious. They're getting a divorce."

"What? Why?" Jisoo worriedly asked. "Chanyeol-ah, what's a divorce?"

"Nothing is certain and this is not your concern." Mr. Choi interupted. "You have classes tomorrow and it would help if you go back to-"

"How?" Chanyeol angrily asked. "How is it not our corcern? They're separating. How does that doesn't concern us?"

"What? Mom and dad are separating?" Jisoo asked with tears in his eyes. He was about to run downstairs when Mr. Choi stopped him.

"Let him go!" Chanyeol yelled but Mr. Choi carried Jisoo to his bedroom and Chanyeol followed them there.

"Let me go!" Jisoo yelled and Mr. Choi dropped him on his bed. Chanyeol rushed towards him and checked if Jisoo was hurt anywhere. He looked back at Mr. Choi, angry, but when he turned his gaze, it was already too late. Mr. Choi has locked the door from outside. Chanyeol and Jisoo ran towards the door and yelled for Mr. Choi to open the door but he only said that they should not interfere when two adults are talking.

Jisoo started crying while banging his fists at the door. When he felt like all hope is lost, he fell to the ground and wept even more. He covered his face with his palms and felt two hands scooping him from the ground. Jisoo's cries slowly started to halt and he looked up to see Chanyeol's face staring back at him. He could see the tears Chanyeol tried to hold back and smiled at him to give him comfort. His arms wrapped around his shoulders and Jisoo returned the warmth Chanyeol provided him.
