Tomorrow With You (ChanBaek)

Chapter Fourteen

"What's going on?" Min Jae asked.

"I.. I don't know."

"I think they're fighting. But about what?"

Chanyeol looked away from Na Na and saw Baekhyun at his right looking at them. His face was hard as he looked at him with Min Jae and walked away from the auditorium where the majority of the students are now staring at them.

"What was that?" Min Jae asked.

"I.. think something happened."

"Everyone, please go back to the activity. There's nothing to see here." Teacher Kim said when he went to talk to Na Na after Chanyeol went out.

Min Jae looked at Baekhyun who was staring at the door where Chanyeol left. He wanted to say something but he thought it would be best to let Baekhyun's mind wonder to his thoughts.

After two more activities, everybody went back to their rooms to wash up before going back to the cafeteria for dinner.

Baekhyun went up on his own and when he finally arrived at room 303, he looked at the door, hesitant to turn the knob.

After what felt like hours of staring at the door, he slid his hand on his back pocket to get his key card and opened the door to their room. He entered and did not dare open the lights. The glimmer illuminated by the balcony is enough for him to see his way in.

He made it to his bed but he didn't see Chanyeol until he saw the balcony's door slightly open. He walked towards the door and peeked outside to see Chanyeol looking at the sky. He opened the door just enough for him to squeeze his way out to also look at the moon.

"Uh.. I.. I didn't see you for awhile."

"What's it to you?" Chanyeol blankly said.

"Teacher Kim was looking for you. He asked me to bring you to dinner."

"I'm not really hungry."

Baekhyun doesn't know how to respond and Chanyeol kept his stare at the sky, lost in his thoughts that Baekhyun could not encode.

"O-okay.. I guess I'll get going then."

"Why are you like this?"

Baekhyun froze before he even touched the door from Chanyeol's question. He was baffled with his words he couldn't find the right answers.

"W-what do you mean?"

"Why are you letting everyone treat that bad?"

"I don't mind."

"Liar." Chanyeol whispered loud enough for Baekhyun to hear.

Baekhyun felt his emotions and life decisions are being challenged by Chanyeol's words.

"It's.. it has nothing to do with you. So just let it go."

"How can I.." Baekhyun grabbed the handle of the sliding door. "..when it's you?"

Baekhyun was surprised from those last words. He looked at Chanyeol to see him looking back at him with not a pity on his eyes, but more of a concern.

"What does that have to do with you?"

"It has everythi-" Chanyeol held back and looked at Baekhyun's confused face.

"I told you not to get in trouble." He added.

"And I'm telling you now, stay away from my life." Baekhyun felt like he said it more than he intended but did not take back what he said.

"Do you really want to push me away?"
