"He's back in your apartment." Jisoo said.

Chanyeol's eyes grew wide when he knew about Baekhyun's whereabouts. He knew the building is regulated by the Wongs and their family gave him a sour taste by being connected to their ambush.

"What is he doing there?" Chanyeol asked.

"I don't know. Dad said he's staying there for awhile when I asked where he and Min Jae were taken."

"And you waited days before telling me this?"

"Woah, why are you so worked up? It's good that he's there and not in this house. It's better that he's somewhere far from dad."

"It's not good! He can't stay there!"

"What? Why? What's wrong with you?" Jisoo looked confused seeing Chanyeol lashing out.

"Jisoo, we need to get him out of there."

"Why? You used to live there too."

"You don't understand. That building belongs to dad."

"What? Dad gave you your own apartment and I got stuck in here?" Jisoo whined.

"Jisoo, I need to go there. I need to see him." Chanyeol pleaded.

"How? Dad's not going to let you out. There are guards outside roaming around. I thought it was ridiculous too but dad made it sure that we don't go out. Trust me, I tried."

"I don't know, but I need to get out of here."

"But there are a lot of them outside." Jisoo started raising his voice.

"I'll find a way around them."

"And what? Get beaten up again?! You're lucky you're still alive and had minimal injuries. I know you're doing this for Baekhyun, and trust me, I support you too. But if you die out there, are you planning on leaving me too? Just like mom?"

The sadness in Jisoo's voice was enough to put Chanyeol into a halt. He has been thinking about Baekhyun too much, he did not realize that Jisoo needed him too.

"Jisoo-yah.." he reluctantly uttered. "I.. I'm sorry."

"Sorry my ass. You're planning of running away with Baekhyun, and I'm okay with that. As long as you're happy and alive. But if you die, I don't know how I'm going to live anymore. Mom died while fighting Leukemia. If you die too while you're on your way out, what am I suppose to feel about that?"

"Jisoo.."

"Chanyeol," he called. "I need you too."

Jisoo sat on his bed, a little upset. Chanyeol followed and sat beside him with his eyes locked on the door. He was too disappointed at himself, he couldn't look at Jisoo in the eyes.

"Chanyeol, what is happening to our family?" Jisoo asked in a weak voice. "Mom and dad had a divorce and she moved out after that. I thought maybe despite being broken, we could still live a normal life. But how did we end up getting here?"

Chanyeol pat Jisoo's back. He is still reluctant to look at him, he found himself staring at the floor. He could feel Jisoo's pain that was almost non existent until this moment.

"Mom had her reasons. We may never get to find out what it is, but I know she didn't do it to hurt us."

"But she left. You were hurt too when she did. You didn't leave your room for two weeks. How does that make sense?" Jisoo said.

"Maybe staying here could hurt us more, that's why she chose what would hurt us less. She left but she never abandoned us. We were still her family even if she's faraway."
