Tomorrow With You (ChanBaek)

Chapter Six

Several eyes stared at Chanyeol but nothing compared to Baekhyun's eyes that opened wide. He hid his face immediately after those words were uttered by the devil.

"There's a vacant seat at the back. You wouldn't mind, won't you? You're a tall kid, after all." Teacher Kim said.

Chanyeol smiled then started walking towards the back where a hiding face was along the way.

He sat behind Baekhyun and the class started as Teacher Kim wrote a sentence on the board.

Baekhyun doesn't know what to do. Why is Chanyeol in his class? When did he come back? Does Jisoo know? These are the questions circulating in his mind. It's been a few minutes since their class has started and he has not lifted his head yet.

He tried listening to Teacher Kim's discussion to divert his thoughts but he felt bothered by the fact that Chanyeol is attending the same class as him. He grabbed his pencil to take down notes but his panic from the sudden turn of events lead him to drop the pencil. He stared at the pencil on the floor with hands shaking when a hand lifted the pencil and placed it on the side of his table.

"You're shaking." Min Jae whispered.

"Uh.. this is nothing."

He tried everything to calm himself and focused on the lessons by Teacher Kim.

Having lunch in the cafeteria has never been Baekhyun's problem until today. He could see a bunch of girls with googly eyes gathered at Chanyeol's table and asking him alot of questions.

Jisoo arrived at the cafeteria with his friends and was shocked and happy to see Chanyeol.

"Chanyeol! When did go home?" Jisoo greeted.

"This morning."

"Why didn't you tell us you'd be going home?"

"Do I have to?" Chanyeol said.

"This is crazy! It's been three years. Me and Bae-" Jisoo stopped when he saw Baekhyun glaring at him. Giving him a disapproving look that says not to tell everyone they know him.

Baekhyun's stare was cut short when a figure suddenly appeared infront of him covering the chaos three tables away.

"Mind if I join you?" Min Jae placed his tray on the table and sat infront of Baekhyun.

"Uh.. sure." He was surprised that for the first time in three years someone sat with him at the lunch table, he even thought it was some sort of a prank.

"Quite loud right there, huh?"

"What?" Baekhyun's mind was brought back from his thoughts.

"You're funny." Min Jae smiled and gave a small laugh.

"Funny enough to be made fun of?"

"No." Min Jae said, taken aback.

"Why are sitting here?" Baekhyun asked.

"To eat?"

"Funny." Baekhyun glared at him and he just smiled.

"You should finish that. Lunch won't last for too long."

Baekhyun looked at his barely eaten food.

"I'm not that hungry."

"You should be. We still have a few hours of classes left."

"Why are you talking to me again?" Baekhyun asked.

"Can't I?"

"Uhm.. no. But don't you feel terrible being here?"
