The month of February had blurred into one, Carina had stayed in the room of requirement for the most part, constantly going back and forth to Aberforth to get some food for herself and Neville, she didn't need much more food than that as a lot of the troublemakers left to go and get their dinner so it didn't get too suspicious. Carina hadn't known what to make of Aberforth, she thought he greatly resembled Dumbledore but was a bit grumpier which made Carina feel guilty as he wasn't happy with his life, she wondered what her life would be like if she hadn't got on well with Blaise or something happened which caused her and Blaise to despise eachother, she didn't ever want to find that out.
However today was the day that Carina and Blaise were eighteen years old. Blaise had agreed to come to the Room of Requirements with two younger slytherins who had been on the end of a Carrow beating and then they were going to head through the tunnel to the Hogshead for some food and a few firewhisky's as Neville had told them they ought to celebrate.
They knew it was safe in the Hogshead too, Aberforth wasn't open for business and he was fairly good at keeping the death eaters away, they hadn't been caught yet much to their relief. The room of requirement had been pleasant that morning, everybody had wished Carina a happy birthday and Dipsy the house elf came with some chocolate cake for her as she had remembered Carina's birthday — carina thought it was so sweet and she shared some out with Dipsy who cried in happiness.
She was currently sat in the corner of the room with her book talking to Fred and Orion. She missed them dearly today and wished they would be together on her birthday, especially as they missed her and Fred's two years together and she hadn't never had a birthday since she had been in Hogwarts without Orion. Carina couldn't believe that she and Fred had been together that long either, it didn't seem very long and they were married but carina couldn't imagine it differently or any other way.
Happy birthday amore mio, eighteen! Such a good age! We can go and drink in the Muggle world legally now darling! I'm so proud of everything you achieved while being seventeen and I hope eighteen brings us so many opportunities together and opportunities for you to grow even further. I'm proud of you darling, I hope you celebrate well as best you can. I'll see you in the Easter! X
Happy birthday little one it's me Orion! I can't believe you're eighteen! My dad wants to take you for your first legal pint when we're allowed after the war! He's very excited and so am I! You're a great, strong, beautiful and intelligent woman little one and I'm so proud to have watched you grow into this beautiful person and I'm blessed to have known you since you were eleven, you make me proud always! Xx
