It turns out, as it happens, Umbridge was even more of a colossal dick — carina thought it was really hard to be at Umbridge's level — she was now subjecting teachers to 'inspections'.

Carina was super excited to see McGonagall and Snape in action. While many people did not like Snape, Carina loved his dry humour and she thought that you just had to appreciate it otherwise you'd think he's an asshole. Which is clearly what a lot of the Gryffindors thought but Carina didn't care. She didn't disregard that he was a bully but she recognised some of his alright qualities too.

Talking of McGonagall, Carina was on her way to her office with Orion who was going to be meeting Rory there and they were going to do a switch.

Orion was squealing over the details of Fred Weasley calling Carina 'adorable' they had both been analysing the meaning of this and they concluded Fred Weasley must slightly fancy her.

Obviously Orion knew this as he became pretty friendly with the Weasley twins and Lee Jordan due to the DA and could have been considered part of their trio — essentially making it a quartet but he didn't want to assume so continued calling it a trio — as he was the one who thought out how to execute their pranks without getting caught as often. Carina was looking forward to their date a lot more now. She just felt that she had more of an understanding at where they were at in terms of friendship.

Upon their arrival at Professor McGonagall's they saw Rory waiting outside with a grin on her face when she saw Orion.

"Hi guys, just a little public service announcement, Umbridge is in there. Not really sure why think she's just doing it to get on Professor McGonagall's nerves," Rory said and Carina rolled her eyes

"Thanks Rory, right I'll see you both later yeah?" Carina smiled giving them both hugs

Carina was not naturally a hugger, but she liked hugging Orion and by Merlin did she love hugging Rory. Rory's hugs were warm, tight and they just radiated love. The moment Aurora Jones wrapped her arms around you it felt as if all your worries and stresses melted away in an instant. She was brilliant. Carina and Rory were two extremely different people but Rory's kindness meant that she was literally a little ball of sunshine and Carina found it very hard to not talk and be social with her when she started dating Orion.

Rory would do so many things, like compliment Carina, help her with her studying, give advice to Carina when she was unsure. She loved it, yes, it can be argued that Carina and Rory were acquaintances because of Orion but they were slowly developing some sort of friendship and Carina was very open and excited for it.
