After a few weeks of inspection and the amazing sass backs she saw from Snape —"you previously applied for the Defence Against the Dark Arts position but you were unsuccessful correct?" To which he had responded"obviously," — and McGonagall who had said —"usually students are not permitted to talk in my class, how do you expect me to teach if you keep on interrupting me?" —Whenever the evil toad cleared her throat to speak.
Carina felt as if her dreams had come true. Sassy pants McGonagall truly was her icon.
However, seeing Professor Trelawney crying in the arms of McGonagall because she failed her inspection and was now getting the sack truly enforced how much Carina hated the pink toad.
She was currently next to Orion trying to see what was going on. They didn't really care for what was happening but they just didn't want to not be involved in gossip later on.
Dumbledore dispersed the crowds but Carina could not get over the toad's face when Dumbledore had said he appointed Firenze, so Professor Trelawney could keep her lodgings. Serves her right for being a half-breed hating asshole, as she would soon realise Firenze was a natural at divination and she'd have to really take a long hard look at herself! Carina knew that Centaurs were truly into reading the stars and understanding things like that so she though Firenze was perfect Centaurs were definitely more knowledgeable than humans anyway.
She truly hoped that Firenze did a good job. That would be the ultimate in your face to the evil witch and Carina couldn't wait to see it.

Carina and Orion headed to Hagrid's hut as he had returned and she hadn't yet seen him to discuss all things creatures.
Carina was jumping up and down on her way to Hagrid's as she had truly missed the half-giant. She had also heard there was a herd of thestrals and she was super excited to hear about how he managed to acquire them.
They knocked on the door to Hagrids hut and he opened a smiled
"Alrigh' Carina and Orion?" He asked gesturing for them to come in "How are ya both?" He asked
"We're splendid thank you Mr Hagrid," Carina replied
Hagrid developed a soft spot for Carina when she was in her third year. He had been incredibly nervous after Draco had caused Buckbeak to scratch him and Carina had gone up to him and tried her best to reassure him —"Mr Hagrid, I'm terribly sorry about Draco, I promise I will speak to Cissy to try and make sure Lucius isn't awful to you! I promise! Please don't be too upset, I'll do the best that I can!" —it was that moment when Hagrid realised that she wasn't at all like the other pure blood children.
