Carina was extremely confused by the man that was Rabastan Lestrange. He was confusing to her, he seemed like he was a good guy but he was on the bad side of the war. She didn't know if she trusted him or his intentions. Then again there was the issue of him being her godfather, did she even want a godfather? Did she want to ruin the image she had of Siri as a second dad? She had too many questions and not enough answers.

Carina had been sent to detention with him after getting caught in the corridor after curfew, but she didn't regret it as she had needed to get Blaise food from the kitchens as he hadn't eaten and he needed to recover. If Blaise wasn't better carina couldn't function, she needed her brother to be ok.

She was terrified of having detention and she wished she had agreed to have someone walk her there because her anxiety was through the roof.  She hadn't even realised before but when she got to detention she saw that he was in fact in charge of looking after all of the Muggle Borns. Carina gasped in shock when she arrived and so did Rabastan but for a different reason.

He had been told that there was a Ravenclaw seventh year coming down for detention and punishment but he had never realised it would be his god daughter. Carina on the other hand was disgusted that Snape was allowing this — she decided he was a slimy bloody git. She glared daggers at Rabastan though, she had never felt so angry in all her life.

He ran a hand over his face feeling extremely conflicted, he didn't know whether to shout at her or just ignore her completely he didn't feel like he had the right to shout at her. He hadn't ever been present in her life and he didn't even have the right to turn up now and act like the godfather she deserved. He just didn't have that right and deep down he knew it too.

Carina turned to go and help the younger children that were crying in cells. She couldn't and wouldn't allow them to be caged like animals, they were people and should be treated as such. She saw one Ravenclaw second year that she had recognised from last year and gasped as she saw the scar running along his cheek. She bent forward and held her hand through the cell bars with an encouraging smile. The Ravenclaw boy rushed forward and held her hand crying.

"It'll be ok passerotto, I'm here you're safe now. Do you have anything in there a, a rock or—"

She felt her heart rate increase at the mere memory of the summer, of being caged like that and she didn't like it and it unsettled her that this had happened to children younger than her too.

"That's enough Carina," Rabastan spoke finally taking notice of her — he didn't want to shout at her but he had to assert discipline — Carina let out a low growl and turned to face him
