"Carina, Blaise, can you come here please?" Eleonora called up the stairs
Both Blaise and Carina came out of their room and gave each other a look. They were scared of what was to be said. This summer their mothers new husband was a bit much, he was extremely violent with Eleonora and Carina.
Carina was scared. She didn't want to be at the other end of an unforgivable curse again. Blaise grabbed her hand and held it tightly.
"It will be okay sorella," he whispered tracing a pattern on her hand and she nodded smiling weakly
"Tesori, this year at school you two must be careful," their mother said and Carina furrowed her eyebrows
She had read the prophet, she had seen that Sirius Black had escaped Azkaban! She could not work out for the life of her how he managed it. She couldn't even believe that Sirius Black was in Azkaban. She read the stories, that he betrayed the Potters, but she didn't understand. The Potters were his family. How do you betray your family?
Carina would rather die than betray anyone that she loved. She couldn't even think about it. She would protect Blaise as long as her life depended on it and she definitely knew Blaise would do the same. She just couldn't think what was fundamentally wrong with the whole situation that made Sirius Black go to Azkaban. She really felt that something didn't add up with the whole situation and she needed to work it out.
"Under no circumstances do you approach this man if you see him ok?" Their mother asked and both the twins nodded
"Mum did you go to school with him?" Carina asked and her mum nodded
"Oh yes Tesoro, he was charming, always with the Potter boy. He was a loveable rogue, very handsome man. A good man from what I remember. It was such a shock when it came out what he did." Their mother said with a sad smile
Carina nodded. She didn't understand why her mother really said that about Sirius. It was like they were in love? Maybe not in love but her mother definitely knew Sirius Black somehow. However, she knew not to push it. Sometimes things were better left unsaid.

It happened in a potions lesson, or so she heard. Draco had goaded Potter and almost admitted to him that Sirius Black had more or less killed his parents. How could he! Of all the awful things Draco did that had to be the worst.
Carina knew she needed to confront him, she was disgusted by her friend.
"Draco Lucius Malfoy!" She hissed walking up to him as he was with his little group which consisted of Crabbe, Goyle, Parkinson, Nott and her brother
