{.30. First week of OWLs}

The lead up to exams had been horrible for Carina Bella Zabini. She hated it, the constant anxiety was doing terrible things to her finger nails as she was biting them something awful. She was pacing outside the hall nervously waiting as she couldn't believe the first exam came so quickly.

What if she failed? What if she couldn't read the questions? What if she wrote the wrong answer? She couldn't do it. She was about to leave and hide when Fred Weasley caught her and wrapped his arm around her tightly.

"Don't panic my love, you're going to do brilliantly," he said in the softest and most encouraging tone he could muster "don't think about doing a runner either, you need to sit your exams," he said cupping her face with his hands.

"Freddie I can't, maybe I can just leave with you and, and I can work in the joke shop?" She panicked causing Fred to laugh

"It would be an injustice to the wizarding world if you wasted your talents in the joke shop, my darling. You've got this. Now go kick this exam's arse and I'll be right here for you when you come out," he said kissing her softly

She nodded and headed back to the line where Blaise was waiting for her.

"Good luck sorella," he said

"I love you more than all the stars in the sky vita Mia," she whispered back

Today was the charms exam. Carina wasn't confident as she had struggled with Charms but ever since she enlisted the help of Fred Weasley she managed to understand the theory a lot better than she had previously. It was probably because Fred would teach her little songs to remember the charms which was a really big help to carina. Fred had recognised that with Carina's dyslexia she needed to find different ways to learn so he'd taken to trying different techniques and the little songs had seemed to work as she would remember the tune not the words.

Carina sat at the table and saw the first question about the levitation charm, she was happy as she had done this with Fred the night before and he had taught her little tips to remember what to include. She flew through her answer writing all the information she knew and smiling as she finished. The next question was about the cheering charm, this was slightly harder but Carina put any information she could think of down before moving onto the last question. She looked up at the clock and saw she only had thirty minutes left. She started to panic as the question was about the counter-charm for hiccoughs carina was starting to panic. Her mind had drawn a blank and she had no idea what she would put in an answer so she simply explained the charm and it's uses and left it at that because the more she thought about not knowing the answer the more it made her anxious. The exam soon finished and Carina ran straight into Fred's arms, true to his word he kept his promise and was sat outside the exam hall with George, Orion and Lee.
