Neville Longbottom was a saint. Carina recognised this as she truly thought the constant shit he was getting put through by the Carrow's and the Slytherin students made her realise how truly brilliant he was. He was kind, strong and despite appearing like he had been terrified throughout his first few years at school he was truly resilient and Carina truly looked up to him. Carina wished his parents could see how truly brilliant he was, she just knew they'd be so incredibly proud of him.

Neville was barely leaving the room of requirements these days and if he was it was for a chat with Minnie or a charms lesson with Professor Flitwick. Carina had warned Rabastan Lestrange to keep his hands off of Neville or she'd have no issue in hexing him — they still had not sorted things out fully after their disagreement.

Carina was currently walking with Neville to go and see Minnie, they took the corridors together and held each other's hands as a source of comfort — it was something they did often these days, because unaware to Carina, Neville cherished her just as much as she did him. Both extremely terrified of what was to come if the Carrow's spotted them. They both hated the Carrow's.

After Carina and Blaise's eighteenth birthday and spending time with Orion, Fred, George and Lee, she really felt like everything had been put into perspective for her some more and that she realised she was fighting for her family, her future, for herself.

She wanted more than anything to just survive this was and she couldn't help but feel anxious about it because the more she thought that you-know-who could win the more she wanted to owl Ron and tell them to get a move on and sort themselves out and finish their secret mission. She knew that with Mio there that they were surely on track, but then what was being on track?

Ron hadn't said barely anything about what they were doing except that it caused him and Potter to fall out. Carina had thought it must have been dangerous but then surely Dumbledore wouldn't have let them go out there to die would he?

Carina didn't have too much faith in this mission, the more she thought about it the more she realised that there wasn't really much foundation to go on. Being sent around the place by Dumbledore, who is now dead, it just didn't sound like whatever they were trying to do was achievable and Carina didn't know how much more the school could take of this.

People were terrified, only the other day Blaise had told her that the younger slytherins weren't going to be coming back after the Easter holidays because they were so terrified. Draco was also not returning, Blaise had said he left one day and hadn't returned and sent a letter to explain why.
