Ron Weasley had received an angry owl from his older brother Fred Weasley after the incident. It instructed him to keep Potter away from Carina as he had received a letter from Carina with smudged ink which had been stained by her tears after the bathroom incident — Ron only assumed it threatened to kill his friend which is why he thought Fred sent the letter.
Ron had head over to Ravenclaw tower and followed a second year boy into the common room. He saw Carina Zabini sat there with a blanket wrapped around her leaning onto Michael as he and Orion played Wizards chess, Luna was on Orion's team.
"Carina?" He asked and she turned to face him
Carina was extremely confused to see Ron Weasley in their common room. She hadn't really thought she'd ever see Ron here. She pat the space next to her for him to sit down with a small smile.
"You're on our team now. We're the two best at chess so we've got this in the bag," she said with a smile.
The group continued playing chess but Michael, Carina and Ron had won —obviously — carina couldn't help but wonder why Ron had come in the common room in the first place though!
She followed Ron out of the common room and they sat in a window seat looking out at the Hogwarts grounds. Carina found it very awkward as she had never spent one on one time with Ron.
"Are you feeling better?" She asked
Ron looked at her and nodded. He hadn't really expected her to ask that question, he hadn't been asked it much or ever had anyone show a proper interest in him. Recently all that was spoken about was Potter and the Horcruxes so it was refreshing to talk about something else for once.
"Yeah, much better now. What about you?" He asked.
He had obviously knew that Carina had been in the hospital wing but he hadn't known what for, he had heard it was for a bad panic attack but he never questioned it.
"Much better, Professor Snape is making me a potion to help. Did you get the bottle of fire whisky I left you?" She asked
"Yeah thanks for that by the way. Didn't expect it," he said
The air became thick as the two really didn't talk to each other that often. Carina wrapped the blanket round her tighter.
"I'm sorry what Harry did to Malfoy. I know he's a git but he's your brother and Fred told me how much it had upset you," Ron apologised and carina waved it off as she couldn't talk about Draco without getting the urge to cry
