Carina Bella Zabini had been stuck in the hospital wing for over two weeks while Madame Pomfrey and Professor Snape searched for a way to extract some of the dark magic from her veins. It had been completely unsuccessful however Professor Snape managed to brew a potion that would suppress the urges of the dark matter once she became of age.
The twentieth of February had come around almost too quickly. Fred had been allowed to visit Carina so they managed to see each other for a measly hour on Valentine's Day. Carina had thought an hour was better than nothing but she had wanted to take Fred for a nice dinner preferably in Italy but the hospital wing at Hogwarts had to do.
Today though, she was allowed out of the hospital wing and Dumbledore had allowed Carina to leave to go to Hogsmeade with Fred as he thought that she needed it before she saw her father's last request. He said that Blaise too was allowed to Hogsmeade but Blaise didn't care for it — he was having a massive party in the dungeon.
Blaise had arrived in the hospital wing to give Carina her birthday presents and she had ordered his via owl. He grinned and hugged her tightly wishing her a happy birthday and Carina did the same back. She handed him over his present and watched him open it.
Blaise smiled as he looked at the watch in the box. It was traditional for a wizard to receive a watch when they became of age and Carina didn't know whether their mother would get him one so she decided to take it upon herself to do so.
"It's engraved," carina said with a small smile
She had got the words their father had spoken to them engraved in the back as she had always known how important it was for Blaise to remember him. Blaise gave Carina a small smile and nodded hugging her tightly.
"Thank you for this Sorella," he said kissing her forehead "this truly means the world to me,"
He handed Carina two presents with a smile and she grinned at him. He had gotten her the most beautiful framed photograph of the two of them and he had gotten her another pair of earrings, this time the diamond in them was ruby. She hugged Blaise tightly and kissed his cheeks.
"Happy birthday Fratello,"
The two twins had breakfast together and chatted. Carina was happy, she truly loved her twin and was glad that Blaise was her twin. Carina truly thought that she would be lost without Blaise, he truly was her rock.
