you needn't learn to love
unless you've been taught
to fear and hate"

It was safe to say that Eleonora Zabini was smitten with her new man. Smitten enough that she was willing to go on a family holiday to their Italian summer home. Where they had not been since the twins were four years old.
Carina Bella Zabini had never been more excited! She loved the summer home, her and Blaise used to love going to their pool house and spending the whole entire day there. It was where they had their best memories with each other when they were younger. Especially when Blaise used to carry her on his back and swim with her on it, she liked to pretend Blaise was a boat and she was the queen.
This time even Draco came with them, Eleonora had taken pity on him after the final task of the tournament and invited Draco along with the twins to get him away from the so called 'toxicity' that was Malfoy Manor.
Carina was glad. She knew Draco could be saved from the awful thoughts of his father but he needed to be shown that muggles weren't that bad and muggle born wizards and witches did not steal magic. Carina came to learn that if you could steal magic then there would be no squibs! So it made no sense and blood purists were dicks. She didn't realise this herself of course, Orion had explained to her that he didn't steal any bodies magic, he wouldn't even know how to steal magic, would it be a spell?
Who knows but like Carina thought, blood purists were dicks. Thankfully this year because of her mother's wedding there was no summer ball for purebloods. Carina couldn't have been more thankful, she couldn't think of anything worse than dressing up and prancing around like a prat for a few hours while her mother tries and sorts out a betrothal for her.
"Sorella, do you want to come in the pool with us?" Blaise asked and Carina smiled standing up from the lounger
"I think that would be fun," she said
"Absolutely not Tesora, your curls will spoil." Her mother drawled from the other side of the pool
Carina huffed and slumped back down on the lounger. She grabbed her book and pulled some spare parchment out from it. She had written to Orion frequently. While not admitting to struggling with the loss of Cedric, Orion knew she was heartbroken and he wanted to ensure that she was alright.
Of course she wasn't but it wasn't because of anything drastic like she was in love with him, of course she did love him but it was the fact that Cedric had helped her fully open up to someone else other than the three people she had trusted the most. It gave her hope that she could be loved fully one day.
She had been brought up around men that had always told her to fear and hate muggles. Her last step dad had honestly traumatised her and the mental scars she'd be left with were endless.
