The train ride home for Christmas had been a weird one for Carina Bella Zabini. She had cried at the school as she was saying good bye to Blaise for two weeks —he had reassured her that he'd still write constantly and it's as if they'd never be apart —she had to give him his Christmas present early too and made him pinky swear he wouldn't open it early. He had a terrible habit of doing that.
Kian Phillips had been waiting at the platform for the duo with Jamie who was excited to see his brother as he had quite exciting news to share.
The duo walked off the train and Carina nearly dropped poor Athena's cage when someone grabbed it from her she looked up and saw Fred Bloody Weasley standing there with a small smirk.
She wrapped her arms tightly around him when she clicked he was there and he rocked her back and forth for a moment before pressing a small kiss to her lips. She pulled away slightly before connecting their lips once more.
"I missed you so much," she muttered quietly
They were about to kiss once more but she heard someone clear their throat and she looked to see Kian and Jamie standing there with Orion. She smiled and waved.
"Freddie this is Orion's family. His dad, my adopted dad Kian and his brother Jamie. I'm staying with them for the holidays," she explained
"Hello Sir nice to meet you! Sorry about that I've missed her terribly, she talks about you a lot so should have realised that's who you were. Is it alright if she comes to mine for a few days? Ry you're welcome as well. Can see Georgie then too?" Carina chuckled at Fred's rambling and she squeezed his hand
"I'm going to go either way if that's alright Mr Phillips?" She asked and he nodded
"Of course! Will you need to use that network what's it called... the poo network?"
Carina let out a small laugh and shook her head while Orion cringed heavily.
"It's floo network dad!"
Fred chuckled and pressed a small kiss to carina's temple. He had been extremely worried about her since they last saw each other especially as the news about the betrothal had come about. It made him think that Eleonora knew something and he didn't want to risk Carina's safety.
"How are you guys going to get to your boyfriends?" Jamie asked
"Georgie and I come and get them or Orion can side along apparate with Carina if he's comfortable," Fred said reassuring Kian promptly afterwards that wizarding methods of transport were in fact safe and they had to take tests to show they could do it.
