Trigger: violence, mentions of rape and assault

The last few weeks of school before Christmas had gone extremely quick. Carina was put in detention by the Carrow twin for her essay question and she was back to square one with how terrified she felt about someone pointing a wand at her. She was currently finishing packing her last few things for Christmas because they were finally going home. She hadn't felt the same about christmas this year, Hogwarts wasn't the same and the normal magic she felt there was just non-existent and she hated it.

Carina had felt extremely emotionally drained, she was going to the Burrow with Fred for the first week before she was going over to Italy with Blaise and Zio for the second week before meeting up with Fred again before back to school in January. That was the plan anyway, she was hopefully going back as long as Blaise, Ginny and Neville were.

Carina was meeting Blaise outside the Ravenclaw tower with Draco, they were going to walk with Luna and Carina to the train and then Draco was going to leave them to sit in a different compartment so that they could sit nicely with Ginny and Neville — Draco didn't want to sit by them, he wasn't on their side for all intents and purposes. Carina loved Draco though and she always would, despite everything.

"Luna sweetheart, you're walking with us right?" Carina double checked

"Aww yes please," she replied, carina kissed her forehead and turned to Blaise

"Ready sorella?" Blaise asked running a hand through her hair and kissing her forehead

Carina nodded her head and linked hands with Blaise. Draco groaned as he realised he'd be left to talk to Luna on the way to the train but carina didn't mind. Maybe Draco would lighten up if he was forced to listen to Luna's ideas and thoughts. May make him slightly more open minded, Carina had thought.

The Twins chatted the whole way down to the train occasionally involving Luna and Draco who seemed to be talking idly to each other, to Carina's delight. They arrived at the train and Blaise walked them to a compartment where they would meet Ginny and Neville. Blaise had decided that he was going to sit with Draco and Nott after a while as he wanted to see them as he had a feeling that they wouldn't be returning after Christmas.

Carina hadn't minded as she realised that Blaise would be left with Pansy bloody Parkinson if both Nott and Draco went off, or even worse Crabbe and Bloody Goyle. Even though she would still be there, they weren't really allowed to mix in the common rooms because the Carrow's deemed it unacceptable for Slytherins to be anywhere else.
