Carina Bella Zabini hated snooping. She valued privacy and would never dream of breaking someone's trust and invading their privacy but here she was in Sirius Black's childhood bedroom having a nose around because she was bored and didn't want to bother Fred — especially because they almost kissed. That and she had been avoiding everybody in Grimmauld Place that morning.

She loved looking around Sirius' room, the Gryffindor colours stood out as they contrasted with the Slytherin Green throughout the whole house. She loved the photographs of him and his friends also, she could see how much Sirius' friends had truly been his safe haven in school. Just like Blaise and Orion were to Carina.

She sat at his desk and opened the drawers and her heart dropped when she saw a picture of Luca Zabini with Sirius Black. The two men had their arms around each other and moving to look at each other giving a wide grin. She held the photo and ran her fingers over her dads face, she felt the tears fill in her eyes — Blaisey looked so much like him — she smiled and wiped her eyes before she continued snooping. She was shocked when saw another picture of her and Blaise when they were babies.

"Hasn't anyone ever told you privacy is important?"

Carina jumped and put the photo back in the drawer

"Sorry, it's just — How do you know my dad?" She asked "don't lie, I've made the connection that you're the Padfoot my dad wrote to!" She ranted

She didn't want to get lied to anymore, she wanted just one person to tell her the truth, even if it was a truth that she didn't like. Sirius sighed and he sat down on the bed.

"I'll be honest with you but you need to keep an open mind ok?" He said and she nodded happy that someone was finally going to be honest

"Your father was a dear friend of ours, at first he was on the opposing side of the first wizarding war due to his family. We had met him during our last year at Hogwarts. Obviously we had a falling out at first because we thought that your dad was a spy, he was in practice but not in the way we thought. Your father leaked information from the death eaters to us. I found out this first and I was the first person to accept him." Sirius explained

"He was a good man?" She whispered looking up at Sirius with watery eyes he nodded holding her hand

"Your dad was someone very close to me and we were in love Carina." He announced with his voice cracking at the end
