you needn't learn to love
unless you've been taught
to fear and hate"

The few days that followed were tense. Leonardo had come around to try and coax Carina out of her room but she had refused, she didn't want to get out of the slump she was in due to the fear of losing anyone else that she loved. It hadn't helped that it was advised to keep Orion asleep as they had to fully check the damage
She had been holding the rattle Siri gave her as she cuddled under the blankets staring into space. How could one girl be so unlucky? All she dealt with was loss.
First, it was the loss of her dad, she hadn't known him or remember but the saying that she and Blaisey honoured him with. She felt like she knew him though, after seeing the memories he could see how he doted on the twins and the loss felt a lot more real. She knew in her heart that her father had loved them and his death and even knowing he was going to die soon, he was terrified and that broke her heart. Luca Monte Zabini deserved more.
Secondly, it was Cedric, the beautiful golden boy Cedric. The handsome gentleman who was her first kiss, who encouraged her to be brave, fierce, kind, loyal, to be unapologetically herself. He was taken too soon and she was devastated she wouldn't be the cool auntie to all his golden children. Cedric Amos Diggory deserved more.
Thirdly it was Siri. Sirius Black, the man that caused her to be anxious for most of her third year until she ran into him and realised that he was misunderstood and just wanted to get revenge for his brothers' death. Sirius welcomed her into Grimmauld Place with open arms and wrote to her and gave her advice. She wished Siri was still here.
Finally, it was Uncle Marcello. The last reminder of their dad being bested by the god awful death eaters because they tried to kill the one she loved the most. Orion. Carina didn't know if she was thankful Marcello took the hit or angry. She felt conflicted either way because she loved Orion Jake Phillips more than life itself and she couldn't imagine a day on earth without him anymore. He was her world.
Carina couldn't forget about the lives she had taken either, she killed Robert Mulciber in cold blood for hurting Blaise. The most important person in her life and she felt no remorse, not anymore. She was glad she killed him, he had deserved it. He had continuously tried to demean her and make her into something she wasn't. He deserved it.
Let's not forget about Dolohov, she wished that she could have seen the life drain from his eyes the same way that she did with Robert Mulciber. She wished Blaisey hadn't talked sense into her that day because he deserved to die. He went there with the intent to kill Orion and his family as a message for Carina. That didn't sit well with her. She wanted him to die.
