Fred Weasley was nervous. That's a polite way of describing it. The impolite way was is that he was shitting his pants. It was the day of Hogsmeade and he was currently wearing his best Weasley jumper and getting ready to head to Ravenclaw tower to meet Carina.
Both George and Lee were laughing at him as he sat bouncing his knee up and down as he waited until the appropriate time to head over. He didn't want to be too early but he definitely did not want to be late. He was stressed, he didn't want to mess up and although he and Carina had met in the kitchens a few times since he asked her and they'd obviously had the encounter where she came to Gryffindor tower he still felt as if she was out of his league and he didn't even deserve to be going on a date with her.
"Calm down! You know she likes you, just be yourself!" Lee exclaimed and Fred nodded
He checked the time and then he grabbed the flowers from his drawers before taking a deep breath.
"You've got this Freddie," George grinned clasping him on his shoulders "and if she ditches you we'll be in Zonko's then the Three Broomsticks alright?" George reassured and he nodded before waving bye to the boys and heading to Ravenclaw tower.
He took his time walking over, he was second guessing everything, his outfit, the type of flowers he'd gotten, their date activity. Even though both his older brothers, Bill and Charlie, assured him that he had a great date planned he still couldn't shake the awful feeling in his stomach that he was just going to mess it up.
He arrived at Ravenclaw tower and saw Carina waiting outside playing with her finger nails. Fred's heart dropped, had she been waiting long? He messed up! He thought the date was over already but Carina saw him and gave a bright smile and a wave.
Fred grinned feeling at ease and walked over to her handing her the flowers.
"These are for you," he said scratching his neck and Carina smiled
"Oh Fred these are beautiful! Let me just run in and put them in water," she smiled and answered the riddle.
While in her room Carina jumped up and down excitedly, she couldn't believe Fred Weasley brought her flowers! She was swooning. She managed to recompose herself and headed out to see Fred. She was nervous, she spent the whole morning with Blaise who had told her where he'd be incase Fred messed up and she was grateful.
When she reached Fred he smiled and they started to walk to the carriages.
"Had you been waiting long outside the common room before I got there?" He asked and Carina shook her head
