Trigger: slurs, torture

Carina Bella Zabini used to love coming back to school, she loved seeing Michael, even though they weren't best friends but she loved hearing him joke with Orion and teasing her when she'd come down calling them all sorts of names. She also missed the jokes they had when she'd get muggle phrases wrong or she'd say something that was completely 'pureblood' of her like when she spoke about her diamonds or family heirlooms. She missed things like this.

This year she wasn't faced with that, she was sat tightly next to Luna holding her hand to ease her nerves while sitting opposite Cho looked equally scared and Carina wanted to reach out and hold her hand too.

Professor Flitwick passed Carina her timetable and she looked to see the addition of Muggle Studies, this now meant she never had any free time and she could already feel the anxiety eating away at her.

"Cho, shall we head to Transfiguration?" Carina asked quietly and Cho nodded

Carina squeezed Luna's shoulder tightly and bent down to kiss her cheek before she walked with Cho down the corridor. Carina had never liked Cho but she was terrified and Blaise was going to Transfiguration with Draco and Nott so she didn't want Cho to be on her own. She wouldn't want to be on her own so she'd rather not leave others on their own.

Luckily transfiguration was with Minnie but it was tense. Minnie looked absolutely terrified and constantly looked towards the door but Carina knew she was a badass and wouldn't let anything happen to her pupils.

The lesson went by quickly and Minnie stopped Carina on the way out. Blaise smiled and said he'd wait for her outside but she kept her hand tightly linked with Cho's as she was scared.

"Miss Carina, how are you my dear?" She asked offering the girls a biscuit

"Minnie I'm terrified," she said quietly

"If you need anything, come here straight away and I'll keep you safe. Go along now you don't want to be late to defence,"

She walked out with cho's hand in hers and she grabbed Blaise's on the way out. When they got to defence Cho had sat with Marietta who was now at Hogwarts —Carina wasn't sure where she had been up until then — Blaise held Carina's hand extremely tight as he noticed her breathing start to increase at the thought of being in the same room as a Death Eater.

Blaise got his book out and placed it in the middle of the table for the two of them when Amycus walked in and shut all the blinds, making the room extremely dark. Carina squeezed Blaise's hand as she panicked about being in a dark room.
