School was over and Luke picked me up with Mace.

"Hey mistress." Mace said cheerfully. I just swished by him and didn't make eye contact with him. I got in the car and let my hair out and took off the glasses. I was expecting to go to the house that I was living in, instead I was taken to my Grandmother's house. I got out and left my bag in the car and came inside and I saw my parents there.

"Is this some sort of family reunion?" I ask setting down my bag.

"Katie, how long have you known that your mother is not your biological mother?" Grandmother asked. I leaned against the door framed and smirked, I remember it well, it was the last time I ever cried like a baby. "That night when mother slapped me on my 7th birthday because I retorted against wearing a dress that night and so the party ended with me embarassing you," I smirked and closed my eyes remembering it well. It stung but memorable.

"I came down for water that night, you and father were in the kitchen talking about what had happened and you burst out saying 'She's not my daughter and nor will she ever be.' When you said that, my heart had shattered even more and tears dripped before me that day but then I saw your face, it was painful too and I knew what that meant. You were not my real mother but you wished you had been didn't you, just a little bit so I could be your little cronnie like Violet." I asked looking at her and tipped my head to the side waiting for an asnwer but she didn't more nor did she say anything.

"So I left it there and cried quietly in my room and I promised myself to never cry again, you were hurting too because you never wanted to raise me, you never even wanted to look at me so I was a burden to you and I didn't have the right to cry." I said with a pained smile. They all looked at me even my butlers looked at me, the only one who didn't make eye contact with me was grandfather.

"Don't pity me, I don't need your pity." I spat looking into everyone'e eyes carefully, they all had sympathy in them and I didn't need it. Grandfather suddenly got up and looked at the crowd, "You heard her, don't look at her like that."

"Father." Dad started but he regarded father.

"Katie, you are to live with me." Grandfather said. I widedned my eyes, it startled me by his remark.

"You want me to live with you?" He nodded, "It's closer to your school and your fiancee's house anyway and I can teach you proper etquete so you can be heir. Your belongings are already upstairs in the room."

"Why are you doing this? Does everyone have to make the descions for me?" I raised my voice towards him. "I'm the heir to the Long Corp. and you will listen to me." he siad firmly. He stared at me as if waiting for me to retort but I wasn't going to do anything, instead I closed the door and went running to clear my head.

I wasn't going to the usual place and rest instead I ran all the way to the house and opened the door to call Jon and Violet out. Violet came running and Jon came right after her and they looked at me.

"What's wrong Katie?" Jon asks.

"Do you want me here living with you guys?" I asked desperately.

"Wha?" Jon asked.

"Do you want me here living with you?" I asked loudly. They both looked at each other and then looked at me.

"Of course we do it's just you're going-"

"to be gone." Violet finished. I looked at her and bent down and looked at her with the first time fear.

"Do you want me gone?" I asked quietly. She didn't look at me but slightly nodded. My hands dropped, and I thought she wanted me here, I thought she was the only one that wanted me here. I stood up slowly and had blank eyes looking down her, she didn't look up and I looked over to Jon and he wanted to say something but he couldn't. I guess I should understand and I softly let out a weak chuckle and went towards the door.
