"Alise do you mind turning on the oven?" I asked whisking some batter in a bowl.

 "Temperature?"

"320 would be nice." She nodded and turned the knob. I ordered Mr. Bo to go home with his family and that I would take care of granfather and grandmother for today. Right now they're just enjoying Christmas programs. Alise and I did some last minute shopping for the party yesterday and thank God we were able to get them.

"Katie, does this taste okay?" she asked putting up a sauce spoon up to me. I tasted it and waited a minute.

"Add some lemon to make it refreshing." We were rushing through the dishes. Even though it wasn't Christmas yet we still needed to make a party worth coming to. Grandmother was excited to see the many friends I made this year.

"So Damon is going to stay with us?"

"Yeah, we have another guest room and he can stay there. Adam said it was okay as long as there isn't any funny business."

"And he thinks me being here will stop it?"

 "Exactly. sorry."

"Honestly, roping me into this." She ranted. I only smiled and put the cake into the oven. Non-alcholic drinks were made, entrees were done and the dining table was ready to be eaten on.

"Okay the cake will bake up in about 15 minutes and then after about 20 minutes of cooling I can frost it. And then--"

"Calm yourself, everything is in order. Let's go change and get ready." Alise said taking off the apron. "Besides, I would much rather be in a dress than an apron." I chuckled as she went up to change. Someone knocked on the door and I opened to see who it was.

"Welcome," I said opening. Okay you would think it was Adam but it was Damon.

"Thanks, nice house." he said coming in.

"Please, go relax in the living room." I said going back into the kitchen. He came over and greeted my grandparents. The cake finally rose up and I put it in the fridge.

"Now all that's left is to make the frosting." I said to myself. Alise actually thought ordering the food would be best but I strongly said that home made cooking was better. Believe it or not, she had fun making food with me. I cut strawberries in half and put cremem between each strawberry and made faces to look like Santa Claus. The buttercream for the cake is finished so I take out the cake and check if it's cooled down and start frosting it. I cover the cake with buttercream and top it off with my Santa's and put chocolate bark around the cake.

"My, that looks delicious." Grandmother said behind me.

"Doesn't it? Well I'm going to put it in the fridge and let it set." I hear Alise come down while Grandfather andd Damon chatter.

"Katie, you're not dressed yet?" She screeches. She hurries down stairs in her emerald sweater dress.

"I'm fine, besides I'm just changing into a comfortable outfit."

"No you're not. I knew you would do this so I had the liberty to get you a dress." She dragged me away from the kitchen.

"What liberty is this?" I complained as she took my hand up the stairs. I could hear all three of them laughing down stairs. While I was changing in the bathroom, Alise was outside lecturing me that I should dress properly. I've heard this about a hundred times from Andrew and John, Charlie and Moose.

"Here, is this better?" I said coming out in a blue sweater dress." It was a bit similar to Alise's and I looked at her.

"Yes, I knew blue was the right color for you." She smiled. I just rolled my eyes at her, definitely a desginer in the future. We come down the stairs and someone rings the doorbell. I quickly go to the door and it's everyone from the Rose Court. They come in taking there scarfs off, as always Charlotte dresses to impress.
