"Hold your head up high Miss Katie. Mace, go get me that dress I picked out today." Moose said as he applied mascara on, I was sitting in front of the mirror but Moose had instructed me to face opposite of it. To be honest I've never actually worn makeup, maybe lipstick but that's it and I honestly think not showing your true self is a cowards way. Moose put some really good concealer on to hide the bruise on my cheek, when I come home they said they'll take some immediate action.

"I don't like makeup, it's like a sticky little mask." I scowl as he finished the coat of mascar.

"Why? Don't girls usually like having makeup on?" he asked putting the mascara down.

"It's a waste of time, what's the point of putting it on when you want to be just yourself?" I asked.

"That the wrong way to see it, most girls look at it that way but they're completly wrong." he said. I was a bit confused and cocked my head to the side meaning I don't understand. He sat in front of me ready to explain.

"Makeup was made to express yourself fully."

"Isn't it the point to be natural?"

"Yes, you can look natural with makeup on, the makeup only enhances the natural it's not a mask it's magic." he grins cheekily.

  "How's it magic?"

"When someone doesn't have confidence with there natural face, makeup helps increase the confidence. It's like a spell cast upon them, a moment when you don't have to worry about everyone talking behind there back, I mean look at me, Mace could be talking crap at me towards Luke but with my awesome face," he says poking his cheek. "I honestly wouldn't care." he grins, I had to laugh at his arrogance but it made sense I guess.

"Go on laugh, it's not lethal beauty Moose." Mace says coming in laughing. I laughed and Moose just sat there superior and turned out laughing with us too. "Now," he said getting up, "time to apply lipstick with gloss." He already applie creamy snow eye shadow to enhance my eyes, mascara  and now lips. He said my skin was smooth and clean and he wanted to keep it that way, he said it gave off an elegant vibe. He lifted my face with the tip of his finge and grabbed a brush and put it on the bottle of lipstick. "Why are you doing that?" I asked.

"If you apply it directly it'll create klumps and we don't want to do that." he said as he applied it on. Right after that he put on some gloss and turned me to the mirror for me to see, I widened my eyes at the mirror. I hadn't changed but it felt like I did, my eyes showed off more than it did.

"Something changed but it doesn't look like it." I said.

"That's the beauty of makeup like I said Miss Katie, it enhances the natural." He grins, Mace walks over and gives off a wolf whistle. "Amazing, never knew you had it in you Moose." he said ruffling Moose's hair. Moose grinned and I just stared at myself, mesmerized.

"Well time to get in your dress, your grandfather is not a patient one." Mace said holding up a hanger wraped in black, guess the dress was in there. He zipped it down for me to see, it was a realy light green dress.

"Picked it out myself, you like?" Mace wriggled his eyebrows waiting for the answer. The top part had beautiful markings on it while as the bottom swayed elegantly, the bodice was incredible and the body of the dress had beautiful flowers all over it.

"Do you think it will fit me?"

"You're not fat." Mace said. I shook my head, of course he would think like that. "No, I mean do you think it suits me?"

"Miss Katie, the dress does not make the person, the person makes the dress." he grinned. I touched it, it was soft and very nice and soft, felt like a fluffy pillow. How nice it was, "Miss Katie, you want to put it on?" Mace asked. I nodded and I ushered the two boys out and lightly slipped on the dress, I took it all in, what would  my mother say about this, what would both my mothers say about this. I honsetly wondered what my biological mom looked like, did I look like her because I can honestly say I look nothing like my father. I wondered many times in my life what she looked like, what she did and if she was still alive.

"Miss Katie, are you done?" Moose knocked.

"Uh, yeah you can come in." I said stuttering, they both came in and Moose started being egoistic again praising his work while Mace took in the image.

"You're not wearing your little glasses." Mace said sternly taking it off.

"Hmm, all that's left is the hair." Moose said. I stopped him right there, no one touches my hair.

"I'll do it, I usually do my hair anyway."

"Miss, I've seen your hair and I'm really not impressed." Mace said. I stuck my tongue out and decided to put my hair in a half ponytail. I put my hair on my right side and lifted it up with my left hand around my head, I inserted a hair tie and made sure it was on tight. It was neat and I liked it, not my usual pony tail but very neat.

"Now for the final touch." Moose said as he lightly sprayed perfume on me. I took in the smell, it was a flowery smell but for some reason I felt it had a wicked expression.

"What kind of perfume is this?" I asked.

"It's called Mystery of Lily." Moose said. "In Greek "lily" means pure so I guess it's called Mystery of Pure. Kind of like you." he said cheekily. Mace elbowed him and Moose realized what he had said but I really didn't take it personally. "No, it's cool, I guess I really am." I said softly.

"Well it's done, let's get you downstairs." Mace said.

"Not yet." We tured to see who had said that and it was Grandmother. She came up to me holding a piece of cloth.

"I need cloth?" I asked, she smiled and opened the cloth revealing a barette. It was a little winged barette, she put it at the tie of my hair and smiled.

"That was my great grandmother's, and she got it from her grandmother and passed it down on to me. So now you get to have it." she smiled.

"I'll take good care of it." I said.

"Well now, shall all four of us go downstairs?"
