Forced Love

Chapter 69

 One more day, after today is Christmas break and Alise and I can go shop for gifts. I also promised to go with Alex, Adam, Nick, the twins, Carter and Klaude. Half of them out of secrecy to get something for their girlfriends. Who knows why Klaude wants me for, it'll be an interesting experience. The whole group agreed to get together on the day before Christmas and exchange gifts to each other at my house. Fortunately Alise got some of the Alice Court to participate, well it wasn't easy but Mason agreed because he was leaving on Christmas in his private jet and Lucy wanted to be there for Klaude. It's not like we have to get everyone presents.

"So, you promise to spend some time with me later?" Adam asked.

"I promise to call you or text later." I said. He kissed my forehead and pouted when I didn't do anything.

 "Come on lovebirds, if Katie and I don't go now all the good sales and gifts." Alise complained. I chuckled as she took my hand and dragged me away leaving him. We were halfway towards the door and I thought you know, just to be nice I let go of Alise's hand. I ran towards him and jumped on his back and kissed his cheek.

 "I'll see you later." I said in his ear before getting off and running towards Alise.

 "You're going to lead him on."

 "We're together, I'm pretty sure that's not  leading on."

 "Well, have you told him about your brother's proposition to London?" She said looking through clothes.

 "It's not for sure yet, I might not go."

 "You're probably going to go after Spring Break." Alise said.

 "Hey, I still want to be with him."

"I don't know if that's really the way to go Katie."

"I know, I just need time. I don't know if I'll go after that summit."

"No, I mean that shirt is not the way to go for Adam." she said taking away the collared shirt I found for him, it was blue and I thought it would look nice. "Also I just think if this engagement is going to get in the way of finding the truth about your existence, you should end it." She said putting the shirt back. I sighed, maybe she's right, it wouldn't be fair to Adam. I'm never going to put Adam in despair like Kara did, I can't ever let that happen.

 "Whose gift are you looking for?"

 "Alex's and Mason's gift."

 "I like that one that your holding."

 "This?" she said lifting a navy shirt. "It's for Mason, he's been with me for a long time and i want to give him the best farewell gift."

 "Aw, Alise isn't baring her fangs." I joked. She just scoffed at me. I chuckled, well at least I had the twins gift purchased and Klaude's. Charlotte's gift was a gold friendship bracelet and Lucy some nice perfume. Who knows what Alise was getting, lately she's been hanging around me a lot while Charlie was just hanging around with Kara and Carter more. It's strange that Kara just got into this school, from what Adam told me, all she got was enough for her family to be stable but what really got me was why was she spending a lot of time with Charlie? I've asked everyone in the Rose Court if they would join for a Christmas party since it wouldn't be fair to Charlie that I''m only spending it with four people but they'll probably just go with what we originally planned. Alise was going to stay for the whole Christmas break where as I had no idea what Damon would do. Oh, well it's not any of my business.

"So your grandparents are okay that I'm staying over this week until Christmas break is over?"

 "Yeah, totally. You'll be showered because the only person I ever bring home is Adam and he tries not to stay when my grandparents are there." I said looking through racks.
