Chapter 51 Turnaround

    I woke up early in the morning to go around the trail, I mean I didn't go yesterday because I would be caught up in the tension but this morning felt great. There was a cold mist in the air and I couldn't help feel refreshed even from last night. I kept running and just passed by the trees and I felt like my old self, the old resentment girl who hated everything in life, and now I have a new look and I feel like I have some emotions but I still have secrets, secrets to my past that I want to find out so much. I kept running until I heard some water rumbling. I went through the trees to find a waterfall, it was so beautiful. I brushed my hands through the lake formed by the waterfall, it felt cool. The trees and things around the water were amazing too. I took a picture of it and sent it to my brothers with me in it then my phone started to ring.

  "Hello?" I said answering.

  "Hey, how's Alex's cottage?" It was Nick.

  "It's pretty cool, the cottage is nice and they have this beautiful waterfall and I just sent a picture to my brothers."

  "That's amazing, I still can't believe you've found a part of your real family." he said. I smiled and sat down in front of the waterfall.

  "Yeah, it's amazing I mean I wish I could see them again and actually get to know them. Nick, I've found my real family--I mean I know I don't know who my parents are or why I had to stay with people who weren't my real family but it's amazing that I found two brothers."

  "I'm glad to hear that, I just actually needed to tell you something."

  "What is it?" I asked.

  "I think I've found my real family." he said, I was shocked, happy and curious.

  "What happened? How did you find them?" I asked.

  "I finally had the courage to hire an investigator and it took a while but I think I've found them." he said, he sounded like he wanted to cry.

  "This is a big moment. I wish I could be there."

  "That's the reason why I'm calling you." he said.

  "What?" I asked.

  "The investigator gave me there address and I want to go but not alone."

  "Of course, oh my gosh, this is amazing, this is the biggest moment of your life."

  "I know," he said laughing, "I can't believe this. I'm going to find the truth out."

  "I'm a bit envious." I said laughing, "You and I didn't know our parents and you found all of them, I've only found half."

  "You'll find out who they are, and I promise to be there." he said. I laughed and he asked me to take a picture of the waterfall for him, so I did, it was a picture of the waterfall behind me and I was waving. I sent it to him and just sat there a little more, thinking. Wow, it would be exciting to meet your real parents soon, I can't help but be happy for him, and I wanted to stay in this peaceful place a little longer, a place that made me feel refreshed.
