Chapter 52 Anxious

  "This is delicious. I can't believe you made this." Mace said, everyone was still working and since my butlers work the most I thought they should get the first taste.

  "And what exactly is that supposed to mean?" I said glaring at him.

 "Since none of us have ever seen your sweet side it's a bit of a surprise to us but it is amazing, I'm glad I have a fiancée that can cook." Adam said kissing the side of my head.

  "There's a limit Adam." I said pushing away, but it was sweet. The butlers just laughed at us, he had his arm around me and we were sitting really close to each other, I wanted to feel like this forever.

  "Hey, it's a beautiful sunset." Moose pointed out the window. I looked out the window but it was so red, I had a feeling that something bad was about to happen but I don't know what had come over me to think so negatively.

  "Moose, do you mind helping me with something?" Alex called out. Moose got up after finishing a piece of pie and headed out. I started to yawn but quickly covered my mouth so I wouldn't be so rude.

  "Well, let's take a nice nap shall we?" Adam said snuggling into my neck.

  "Maybe I'll do that, I haven't been getting much sleep lately." I said getting up and walking up to my room, he pouted and I just waved as I went up to the room. Alise and Charlie were there reading Alice's journal.

  "You guys are sure getting along." I said.

  "Well, I thought I should show her some more of Alice." Alise said.

  "Yeah, I kind of feel bad. I mean I was such a mean person to her." Charlie said sadly.

  "I'm sure she forgives you." I said.

  "So, how are you and Adam?" Alise said flipping through her sister's book. I blushed a bit and Charlie threw a pillow at me.

  "You like him." Charlie said.

   "We are fiancés." I said.

  "You like, like him." Alise said. I threw the pillow at her and she just laughed at me. "It's nothing to be ashamed of. At least you two have a man in your life." Alise said.

  "Come now, I'm sure you'll have a man in your life." I said.

  "Easy for you to say, I will never be able to get back the man I like."

  "And who would that be?" Charlie asked.

"None of your business, it wouldn't matter anyway, he probably loves someone else." She sighed, I kind of felt bad for her, and even though she had Carter they didn't do anything besides do it once and kiss after that.

  "Hey, come downstairs, Alex wants us to go somewhere." Carter said knocking on the door. We all came down and everyone in the house went out, it was really dark, you couldn't see anything but the moon light, luckily the butlers brought some flashlights.
