Of course school wouldn't go as the way Nick and I had planned let alone the feud between the Rose Court and the Alice Court. So many people were talking about Charlie's party. So many people were talking about me and Adam and so many just talking about Charlie and Carter. Alise came up to me and we started talking.

"Well, surprised you didn't come yesterday."

"Some business how was the rest of the trip?" I asked.

"Well, Charlie and Carter wouldn't separate from each other which led to your butlers gagging all the time, I tried to spend my time alone and enjoy the peace but Alex kept bothering me."

"He means well."

"I know." she said softly.

"You never told me the story between you and Alex." Her ears turned red and she didn't look at me.

"What's there to tell? He was the only one who could figure between me and Alice." She said sadly. I wonder why she looked so down.

"Isn't that a good thing?" She shook her head sadly and smiled towards me, a pitiful smile that could break your heart.

"The only reason why he's made sure that he could tell us apart was for Alice." She said closing her eyes. "No matter what, I will always be second."

"How do you know it wasn't for you?"

"Because, when he would say hi to each of us, he never looked me in the eye. Saddest thing really, I always looked at him when we were younger."

"Well now's your chance right?"

"It's not that easy Katie, he also had that special bond with Charlie when I looked at them back in junior high. I can't take it away that easily. Besides, after seeing those two for years who would?" I had pity for her and we both knew how much each of us hated pity.

"Who knows, you may find your way, everyone always finds one way." I said. Someone suddenly tugged on my hair, at first I thought it would be Andrew but it was Damon.

  "Ugh, the pest." Alise said.

"Do you mean yourself? You can leave anytime sweetheart." he said wrapping his arms around me. I squirmed but he was too strong.

  "Let go of her!"

"She's not complaining is she?" I started shaking my head hoping that would indicate that I was uncomfortable but he just wrapped his hands around me even more.

"What would you do if Adam was here?" I gasped.

"I would kiss you." I stepped on his foot and got away.

"Why are you doing this to Adam? He's your brother." I said trying to hide my disgust.

"He took everything away from me, and now I will too."

"What are you talking about?" Alise asked.

"Adam and I were put into foster care and he did nothing but take the attention, be what would you call it? A pet to those people." he sneered.

"He left me and my brother to fend off for ourselves while he took all the glory, only after we were adopted were we finally able to feel good about ourselves." I looked at him, I was ready to stroke his head when Alise grabbed my hand and dragged me away from him.

"That stupid spout, acting all high and might. He should let go of things like that." She said harshly. I kept wondering what he meant, had Adam really thought of only himself when they were put in a foster system? We walked towards the mess hall and of course eyes were daggered our way. Why is it that every time I was around someone I had eyes daggered towards me?
