Well it's another day for school and it was still boring as ever. Lyla still didn't talk to me today, I guess she was really embarrassed by what I did but she wasn't able to do anything so I don't really think she should be mad. Well it didn't really bother me; we weren't ever friends anyway so I didn't care. Mr. Luke still bugged me but he's the only one that ever talked to me and surprisingly I appreciated that.
"Brat, come here."
"What old man?"
"Well, it seems that little girl was the daughter of the Summers." he said.
"And why do I care?"
"They advertised for us for free."
"Okay? What benefit do I have?"
"You can take a few days off if you want and I'm giving you a bonus." he said grimacing. Wow, seeing him suffer made me laugh so much.
"Aw, thanks old man I'm touched." I smiled.
I stuck my tongue at him and he just waved it off with his cigar, before I left I turned.
"You know, smoking is bad for your health." I said. It's not that I was worried, it's just I didn't like people dying from smoking.
"Don't tell me what to do." he said as he turned. I stood there waiting for something and he took it out, I saw that it wasn't really lit. "Get out of here brat." I nodded and sighed as I went out. I remembered that my dad had wanted me to come to dinner today. He's never said anything like that before, oh well.
Once I came back home I rushed up to the stairs, I suddenly had a feeling that someone was here. I went into my brother's old room and there he was.
"Jon?"
"Hey Kitty Kat!" he said with a smile.
"What are you doing here?"
"Dad said to come here for a dinner with some guest, did you not know about it?" I shook my head. "Oh well we're having a family dinner and he said to dress nice." Ugh, I hate dinners, usually I would skip them and then get yelled at but what did they care? I'd stop embarrassing myself and embarrassing them, Mom doesn't want to say it but she indicates it. Well, I don't really care so what the heck. Maybe I'd go for a nice run before this.
"What time is the dinner?" I asked.
"Don't try, Mom locked the gates."
"Not like I've gotten through there."
"Ugh, 6, be there or else all hell breaks loose." I laughed and he nodded, so I went to go change and went back outside in the backyard. I climbed over the fence and headed out to do my usual run, it felt so good to run free like. Birds, flying everywhere as if they're running away from something, sometimes when I see that I wonder if something is about to happen. Like a sign showing you that something is going to change your life, it actually scares me a bit. I come running to the lake where I used to go if I was sad or had to think for a long time, usually I do my thinking when I'm running. There's a piles of bricks stacked up on each other reaching to the sky at about 4 feet with the engraving "Park", with a bench near it. I usually sit on the bricks and watch the lake's ripple go through with the wind.
