Chapter 31 Experience

"Do you really think I'm ready for all of this?" Charlie asked as we were going over what we needed to.

"The pageant is in a two days, we need all the time to rehearse and we can't risk it being stolen. You'll be fine Charlie," I said.

"Okay, I think it's time to go shopping, I've been through Charlie's and Alex's but there is nothing presentable." John said as he came out.

"Well time to shop, let's go." Andrew ushered us outside where Moose and Luke were out there. "Who are they?" Charlie asked.

"My butlers, despite what they look like, they're pretty good in these kind of situations." I said from experience as we were walking out the door.

"We have a special treat for you ladies, while Luke and Mace is taking the guys while me and a very special guest will be taking you ladies." Moose said cheekily.

"Who?" I ask as we step into the car.

"Me." someone says and we all turn around, it's a beautiful chestnut haired beauty, forget Charlie she was one of the high angel's.She had freckles but it suited her, made her look like a child, in a good way. "I'm Anne Percival, Luke's girlfriend." I heard Luke sputter, I guess he wasn't so tough.

"Hi, I'm Katie."

"Luke's master, he's a bit of a grump isn't he?" she smiled.

"Am not." he said like a little child, I chuckled and nodded. "This is the first I've heard him speak." I said.

"Is not." I heard him whisper which made her laugh with me even more. "Heard you guys needed some help and since I'm spending time here before I go back to London I though I might help."

"Where are you staying?" I asked.

"With you, your grandfather insisted I stay with you."

"That's him." I mumbled, always trying to get his way. We were on our way to the mall but instead Luke turned around and we came across a very expensive looking mall. Great, a rich mall for the snobby and only the snobby. I was the last one to come out of the car but Anne seemed to have waited for me.

"Not so enthusiastic about the snobby mall are you?" she asked.

"Yeah, it's where you buy even more outrageous expensive clothes, I'd rather just go to the other mall."

"Yeah, this is where all the rich dogs come to waste there money, we'll just look here and if we don't see anything we can go over to the other mall."

"Definitely, I hate coming to a mall full of arrogant dogs." I smiled, she laughed and we went into the mall together with Luke and Moose. It was big and extravagant and definitely not my taste, everything in here was girly.

"Don't worry, this is just for the masquerade part, then we'll get on with the real stuff." Moose whispered.

"Ugh, let's just get this over with." I sighed as we went exploring. We go to the most expenisive store in this expensive mall to find the masquerade dress.

"So the third task is to accept love, how do you suppose we do that?" Alex asked.

"Well right now we're looking on how to dress it, so why don't we girls go and look for something for Charlie?" Anne said. "I'll be coming with you." Moose popped in, of course he would want to come. We all agreed to meet back where we started, we came into the most expensive store out of every one of these vain places. Charlie found so many dresses but nothing fit her to us and we kept searching.

"Katie, come here a minute?" Moose said to me, I came over and he held up a dress to my neck. "Like I thought, it looks really good on you."

"What's that to do with me?" I asked but I think I knew the answer.I swatted it away and he lightly slapped my hand to stop.
