After a nice dinner and movie I drove back home. I came up front but instead of getting out I sat there for a moment realizing something. It's been so long since I've been happy, hanging out with friends, more less than people. I had a great feeling and I chuckled a bit before I came back in. I unlocked the doors and I was hoping that no one in the kitchen but I was a bit parched and of course my wish doesn't come true. Mother is sitting at the kitchen table, well I still went in the kitchen and got myself a bottle of water and started to drink it.

"Where were you for dinner?" she asked.

"Helping the school, mother." I said as I drank some more.

"You didn't ask for permission."

"Mother, it is school stuff, I didn't think I would need your permission to do school stuff." I said.

"You missed the dinner." she said.

"I am quite aware I did but I still had some dinner."

"You were supposed to spend time with your fiancees family and with us."

"Why? I never wanted this anyway." I said raising my voice.

"I am your mother, don't raise your voice with me." she said sternly.

"You are not my mother."

"I am your mother, I've raised you in this family so you are very much my daughter." she said angrily.

"You are not my mother, and you never will be." I said with my tone raising higher than ever and she got up and slapped me. I held my cheek and turned to her angrily, her expressions were fierce and she looked at her hand and it turned. She was about to say something but I went up stairs slowly knowing that her eyes were gazing at me. I deliberately turned to her and looked her in the eye.

"Good night." I said my voice calm with one of my hands still cupped over my cheeks. I went up to my room, changed and turned off my light but had my laptop on. I started all my music that I thought meant something to me, something that others will never understand.
