I got up thinking it was all a nightmare until I saw them waiting in the kitchen. I woke up changed into my usual disguise, put on my glasses and put my hair in a long high ponytail. Came down and not expecting what I saw. "What are they doing here?" I asked pointing to them.
"Well you're switching to their school; we've already made arrangements to get you into that school." Dad answered quickly. I scoffed and glared at all of them even Violet. I had a true passion of hate right now and it was maddening.
"When was this decided?" I asked calmly.
"When you abruptly left." Adam said smirking.
"And did I have any consent on this?" I asked angrily. They didn't answer, and I scoffed. "There are a bunch of liars in this house keeping secrets and doing it without any consent." I grabbed an apple and bit on it. "You'll be moving there tomorrow."
"Like that will make it so much better." I scoffed.
"Well it won't be so bad, we'll be driving together." Carter meekly said.
"Not helping." I snapped.
"Don't be rude." Dad retorted.
"Whatever." I scoffed. I went out and went to my school, the last day of being hidden and not being noticeable. Class was going to be the last day I was ever normal, I just hoped I'd be able to work at my usual place. School had ended and I had given out my textbooks to my teachers. They gave me a look of sympathy but I returned it with a look of disgust. The only reason why they would miss me was because I was the only smart person there and they would lose district ranking. I didn't go straight home instead I went over to the salon.
"Hey old man."
"Brat, your parents came by here." he said motioning me to his office.
"What did they say?" I asked angrily.
"Tomorrow is to be your last day."
"Great, well aren't you glad old man? I'm out of your hairs." I snapped.
"Hey, it was their decision, not mine."
"Great, just great." I said putting down my stuff cleaning, tomorrow would be the last day I'd be here. He didn't say anything, and then I realized something.
"You knew it the day you told me to take some time off didn't you?" I asked angrily. He kept a straight face and didn't move or even twitch.
"What is with everyone lying to me?"
"Katie, this is the part of being from a rich family."
"Everyone I've been around with has been lying to me." I said. He didn't say anything so I went out and the co workers carefully looked at me. Lyla smirked at me and brushed past me whispering, "Good riddance." I didn't do anything; I just went out of that salon not looking back at it once. Where am I supposed to go now? Back home where everyone will lie in my face? I sighed and walked slowly to the lake and sat on the bench instead of the pedestal. I laid back on it looking up into the sky filled with clouds. "Is the sky just one big mind filled with a lot of thoughts?"
"Depends if you look at it that way." someone said. I abruptly sat up to see who it was and it was Carter.
"What do you want?" I sighed. I wanted to be able to clear my head without any distractions, maybe I would visit her.
"Well since we're to be future fiancée-" he started.
"No, I may choose your brother." I smirked and he laughed.
"Well anyway I think we should get to know each other." he said sitting next to me.
"Well I know full well that I don't want to be you or your brother's betrothed."
"Well, that doesn't mean we shouldn't get to know each other."
"Whatever." I scoffed and went on to thinking, great I lost my train of thought. I got up and walked in the opposite direction of the house.
"Where are you going?"
"Keep up, lover boy." I smirked as I sprinted away from him.
