We had gotten to the house and said our greetings. Adam and I had linked arms together and people were questioning us. We just pretended and kept them hanging to find out our relationship. I could feel every girls eye on us and I honestly didn't care. Alise was right next to us, when Adam had to go away, I led her up to my former bedroom where I had a small patio, it's where I used to read and just do about anything.
"So, what happened when she died?" I asked.
"That was a time when I found her journal and read it. Most of it was hate for Charlotte and it made me feel that it was all her fault so I asked my parents to let me stay here, I came up with a plan. Act like Alice and make Charlotte live in a living hell."
"Why would you do that?" She turned to me with a drink in her hand.
"How come you don't live in this house anymore?" Wow, that was a quick change of the subject.
"How do you know I don't live here?"
"My mother told me." Of course, gossip goes around fast.
"I was kicked out, by none other than my sister. She didn't want me there, my grandfather wanted me to live with them."
"Do you still love your sister?" she asked. I had to think on that one, she was the only girl that ever got my mother and father's attention let alone Jon's but if someone had hurt her I would hurt them back.
"Yes, I love her."
"The same reason I did it, my sister may have hated me and I may have hated her a little but I still loved her. Family is power especially when we're one."
"You hated Alice?"
"I had this jealousy, she was one of the stars in my family, I was the only dissapointment. I may have been older by a few minutes but with her and my brothers, the family was now golden. My brothers always had awards everywhere you go, my sister just understood everything in a minute so did I but they only saw me as a copy and yet I still love all of them." Alise scoffed.
"Dissapointements together." I said holding up the glass. She clinked to it and we sipped our drink and sat down.
"So you've been making Charlie's life hell because you believed it was for your sister. Was it you that slept with Carter?"
"Alice did spread the rumors, I just got caught up in them. My mother and father never told anyone about me that much, instead they acted as if I was her but no twin are the same only alike. I wished they had seen that but obviously they didn't, it was like I never existed."
"Did it ever make you wonder that acting like someone different was a sign of being a coward?" I asked swirling my glass, she kept looking straight on into the sky as I looked at her and then she took a sip of her drink.
"Yes, that's because I am a coward but that was the only way to avenge my sister of her death." I stayed silent and pulled out her journal and opened up to a page. I passed it to her.
"What is this, I've read the journal countless of times." she said looking at me.
"Read that page again, carefully." I said passing her the journal. She looked at me and read it as I looked at her.
"It still says that she wished she had died."
"Read the next page, it says that she wanted nothing more than to torture herself. Then in the next entry she keeps writing that something was wrong with her and she didn't know what, I suspect the doctor didn't tell your family something because I found something."
