Chapter 39 Denial

I had woken up by the sun and I was about to get up when I realized an arm was on my shoulder. It was snuggling my ear and just having it's breath breathe in and out on my skin. It made me have goosebumps. I turned to see who it was and almost screamed but ended turning over on the couch flat on my butt and bumped my head.

"Ow." I said.

"You okay?" Adam asked smirking with delight.

"No thanks to you, I said getting up and stretching my back.

"You look so sexy when you do that." he said, I turned around and just gave him a glare, I went upstairs to wash my hair and brush my teeth, someone got out and it was Alise. She waited for me to do my necessities and went in the room with me, as I threw her some clothes she questioned me.

"So you two and Carter are fiances?" she asked. Of course she would hear from all our yelling.

"Yeah, but could you please not tell anyone? I don't want anyone to know until I can see if there's a possible loop hole I can get out of."

"Why would you want to get out of a relationship with the two hottest and wealthiest guys?" she asked.

"I thought you heard us yelling yesterday?"

"Only the part where Adam would make you love him and where you accepted his challenge."

"You could tell he and Carter were my fiances from just hearing that?"

"I have lots of intuitions."

"I'm just not that type of girl, I don't want to force anyone to do anything. Half the reason why I got kicked out of the house."

"I admire that."

"Just a second ago you thought I was stupid for not liking the Summers."

"Oh I still do but you stand up for what you believe in, but you try to deal with it."

"Thank you, what about you acting like your sister?"

"I think I'm going to change that. Also we need to figure out who messed up our little competition." Alise said as we both got up and went downstairs. We decided to have a little fun after everything Alise just found out.

"Where do you guys want to go? I'll drive. Just don't choose anywhere that's girly." Adam asked.

"Oh, and I thought you wanted to get into another girl's pants." I snorted.

"Did you not understand our argument yesterday?" I just ignored him and Alise chose a place. We went shopping again but in a high class mall. As all three of us were walking through the door, I felt like we were celebrities. I guess it's because of Alise and Adam, but it felt weird, I've never been seen like this. We stopped by a cafe first and our waiter came. He looked scared when he came over, I guess it was because they were intimidating by looks, once the waiter left I gave a smile to him and I think I might have startled him because he rushed off.

"Aw, I scared him." I said putting my head down on the table.

"No you didn't scare him, he just liked your smile, I could see him blush." Alise said giving Adam a smirk. He just rolled his eyes, and put his arm around me.

"Nobody can take her from me."

"Who said I was your property?" I retorted. and shaking off his arm. Alise just laughed and put her arms on the table.

"So are you going to tell Charlie?" I asked.

"I don't know, to tell her that one of her best friends died a long time ago and that I was being such a bitch towards her for revenge, I don't think she'll believe me. Plus I kind of did it for all the wrong reasons." She said.
