Chapter 59 Moose

 I had awaken first and he was there like a little child snuggling up with me. I stroked him, I was acting like a mother towards him, a bit creepy but he was just so adorable. I gave him a kiss on the lips and like the prince to Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, he had awaken.

  "Well that's one way to wake someone up." he smiled into the kiss. "What made you eager to wake me up so early?" he asked.

  "You were just so adorable, couldn't help myself."

  "The day I see you being so cunning is the day I'm in heaven, I certainly feel like I'm in it." I laughed a bit. He kissed me and normally I would find this disgusting but I was happy.

  "So, when my mother had found out that you chose me, she set up a date for the engagement party." I suddenly stopped my body, the engagement..... I had forgetten all about it and right after grandfather's story I couldn't help but have a wave of hatred towards Adam's mother and father.

  "Yeah," I said with a crooked smile, "the engagement party."

  "If it's too fast we can put it off, after all you're just 17 where as I'm 18." Yes, we're only in 11th grade right now but it wouldn't be a shock to at least be engaged. We got up and went our separate ways for a short while. He was at school while I had to take care of business for Grandfather. I was still a bit mad but he knew that I would want to know. I'm at the desk filling out plans for Long enterprise. It's interesting that I am so capable of doing all the stupid paperwork. Someone knocked on the door to the office.

  "Come in." I said. Moose came in and smiled.

  "I brought you some thai tea." I stretched my arms and smiled.

  "Yes some Asian tea is nice." Moose smiled. He sat on the desk as I drank some of the nice cool tea. I was drinking it and I noticed he was looking at me so I sat the tea down and peered over at him.

  "Did Grandfather send you over here to talk to me?"

  "Uh, actually no," he chuckled, "But he did tell me that he told you everything about your birth and honestly Katie, the poor man is just trying to look out for you since he wasn't able to do so for your father."

 I sighed and just looked at him. "Are you trying to coax me into doing the right thing?"

  "No, I'm telling you that Mace and Luke will be behind you, inclding me. Look, I've seen you the way you look at Adam. You really don't want to lose him and I highly doubt he wants to lose you."

  "You think I want revenge?"

  "I think you want answers and sooner or later, your going to think by having an anchor on him you'll use him to get to them."

  "You had this planned out?" I chuckled.

  "Well, if you're going to be the head of Long Corp, be expected to hear the unexpected." I thought for a bit, if Elliot and Kevin are up in London running it, then why did Grandfather push so hard that I needed to be ready to run the company.

  "Moose, why did Grandfather push me so hard to be the head if my other brothers are running it?"

  "Your ex-father didn't tell you?" I shook my head. "Grandfather has a will and he wants all three of you to be the head. He knows how capable you three are together and believes you will take Long Corp. to the next level."

  "How does he know I'm capable of providing for this company?"

  "He's invested millions dollars for each of you, he wants you to use that money to make whatever company you want as part of Long Corporation," He smiled, "He believes you as do I."
