Chapter 16 Mia

We all turned to see who it was and it was Alice, we were really surprised.

"What are you doing here?" I said in a hissed tone.

"Hear someone crashed your decorations." she said slyly.

"Whch brings me back to my question, what are you doing here Alice?" I said standing my ground. She narrowed her eyes at me. "I heard Mia talking to Katrina and they were confirming that they had ruined the stadium and I came here just to let you know it wasn't any of us, it was just Mia and Katrina."

"We weren't jumping to any conclusions." I dismissively said.

"You know, I don't think you should be talking to me like this, nerd." she said. It's true I did look like a nerd with my hair back and glasses on but it didn't bother me."Up close though, you look kind of pretty, if you apologize maybe I'll forgive you."

"I honestly don't care what you say, Alice, now you can leave and thank Mia for us." I said. She arched her eyebrow in confusioin and the twins were laughing, she started blushing out of embarassment and left.

"That was truly amazing, never knew you had it in you Ace." Andrew said locking his arm around my neck but leaving space just enough for me to move it. "Yeah, I've never seen Alice blush so easily like that, you are one of a kind Katie." John said ruffling my hair. I held onto Andrew's arm and I was a bit amazed at being praised like this, I could feel there eyes on me in amazement and then they laughed.

"Let's go, we can work on it tomorrow." they said laughing and Nick actually chuckled too. We came by the school's cafe, Alex, Klaude and Charlie were there. They quickly got me seated and then they started telling everyone about what I did. Suddenly two fingers poked my cheek and one was on top of my head, it was Adam and the other twins.

"Yo, heard you pissed off Alice today." Adam said.

"Wish we could have seen it right Dylan?"

"Yeah, that would have been a nice sight Cole." he agreed. So those were the twins names, now I know who they are. They still had there fingers on my cheek so I swatted it away and they laughed, they pulled up a chair next to me and Adam was on my right.

"You really do fit in with the Guardians." Cole said.

"Yeah, and it's way better than the Alice court." Dylan said. We all had different conversations going around but I could feel Adam's smirk behind me and I noticed Charlie had her eyes narrowed at him.

"Katie, come with me to the bathroom?" she asked getting up. I nodded and excused myself. "Is something wrong?" I asked her as we were coming down the hall. She shook her head, she went to wash her face and hands and she took a deep sigh. "I shouldn't be feeling like this." she whispered. I would normally question her but it's her problem. We came out and some teachers asked us to bring stuff to the storage room since we're Guardians. I opened the door and I wasn't really all surprised at what I saw.

"Mmmm." Alice said as Carter kissed her, they were making out non stop but I could see in Carter's eyes, he didn't feel anything. I looked at Charlie and she was trembling a bit, I set down the stuff and took Charlies and dropped it making them jump. "Find another place to do your snogging." I said and took Charlie's hand and made her go into our Garden. I sat her down and sat opposite from her.

"You okay?" I asked her as I poured myself some hot tea and for her too. She didn't say anything so I sighed and put her tea in front of her. "It started three years ago." she suddenly said.

"What?" I asked.

"The whole rivalry between the Alice Court and the Guardian Court." I nodded and let her continue as I was sipping my tea. "Surprisingly Alice, Carter and I were best of friends." she said sipping hers. I nodded and urged her to go on.

"We met in kindergarten here and we became best of friends." she said setting her little cup down. "It all happened when we were starting the ninth grade here and that's when everything began to fall apart with me and Carter. We went out and I'll never forget the happiest time but the saddest time of my life."
