 "Yeah, I'll come." Alise said.

"You will? I mean you don't want to spend it with family?"

"My family already left to England to meet my brothers already. So I'm stuck alone on Christmas. A great way to experience the holiday." She said putting her books into her locker. "I'm tired of trying to be with family that doesn't want me." she said slamming her locker.

"Well, it'll be nice, just me, my grandparents and Damon if he can."

"Wait, you're inviting Damon, not Adam?"

"I want Adam to spend the holiday with his family, we'll meet later on Christmas Day but Christmas Eve is for family."

"Have you told Adam you’re inviting Damon?" she asked. I shook my head.

"You don't suppose this might be cheating do you?"

"No, since it's with family. But boys will be boys, so he'll probably be pissed that you didn't tell him and probably tell you not to invite Damon." She said.

"Look, Damon can either accept it or not and I'm doing it because I know how lonely it is to spend Christmas alone. One Christmas, both my parents decided to go to Italy to spend Christmas and Violet's manager had a Winter shoot set for Violet up in Minnesota and Jon was making Christmas sales go up for his products, so it was just me at home."

"Katie," Alise said looking at me with remorseful eyes, "I'm not saying your intentions are bad."

"I'll invite Adam, maybe a Christmas miracle will happen. Maybe his parents will celebrate in the afternoon, my grandparents are old so they want to do it at night where it'll be calm." I sighed. We waved each other bye and I went into my classroom. Physics, the one class I have with Damon and coincidentally, we sit next to each other. The girls will get any chance just to turn back and get a glimpse of him where as I just stay focused on the board. He doesn't ever talk, I feel like he's one of those loners and I would know because I used to be one. The only person he ever talks to is me and that's because he wants to get even with Adam. When you look at him from afar like I'm doing now, it just seems like a lost puppy. I come over and sit in my desk and I have a feeling he's staring at me.

 "What?" I asked nonchalantly.

"Nothing, just seeing your beautiful face makes my day." he said with a cheeky smile. I scoffed at him. The teacher comes in ready to give tests out before Christmas break. Everyone groans and all I do is sighing.

"Nervous that we'll fail are we?" he arches his eyebrow at me.

"As if, this will be a piece of cake. I just want Christmas break to start."

"Don't we all?" he said sarcastically.

"You're not looking forward to it?" I asked.
