Forced Love

Chapter 20 Distance

The twins put there hands on there elbows waiting for me to slip my arms through the hoop, I happily comply to that. We come into the auditorium and it's nice and dark, a lot of people are here which I never expected to happen.

"It's amazing." I say as all three of us walk in. Charlie comes up to us squealing with excitement. "I never expected it to be like this. It's so awesome, King is pratically hysterical." she cries. I laugh with the twins as we make ourselves towards the Guardian Court. The King was a vampire and Klaude was a priest, Nick was a knight in training and he idly stood there just drinking punch.

"King, are you all right?" I ask.

"I'm wonderful, in fact I think I'll go drink some punch." he says hysterically. He seems drunk, or maybe he's just really excited. I chuckle, "It's a big success Klaude."

"Yes, I didn't expect it to be this successful." Klaude says happily, this is the first time I've ever seen any of them this happy. I laugh and excuse myself from the angelic twins to go and wash up a bit. I come to the band hall again and I sit down to play a bit before going back in, it's that melody again. I can't quite remember where I heard it from but for some reason I remember it.

"Well played but you might want to make a big crescendo at the beginning." I turn to see that face with that little smirk. I get up but he blocks the exit and I stand there glaring at him.

"Are you sure you're okay?" he asks.

"I'm fine, just shock." I say immediately. He doesn't stop staring at me then he says, "Cute costume fiance." he smirks. I look at his and he looks like a vampire too, "Not so bad yourself, canidate." I trudge past him and I hear him chuckle, John is there and I greet him and he does that little gentlemen thing again and I put my arm through the hoop and we dance.

"Lucky I get the first dance." he says.

"Lucky you." I chuckle.

"I saw you come through the piano room with Adam." he says as he twirls me around.

"Really? What did you expect us to do?" I asked.

"I didn't expect to hear somethings." I realize what he means and I look at him. "Are there some secrets you ought to be telling me?" he asks in my ear.

"What did you hear?" I ask immediately.

"Adam is one of your fiancee canidates and I'm betting Carter is too?" he asked with an arched eyebrow. I didn't say anythign and he whispered in my ear. "It's safe, I wouldn't do that to my friend." I could feel his smile as he placed a kiss in my hair.

"Why are you doing this, what are you going to gain from it?" I asked, I didn't know if I could trust him or not. "You're probably going to tell Andrew aren't you?" I said.

"He already knew, he was there with me when we went looking for you, he's just moping because you didn't tell us and we're your best friends."

"Sorry, it's just I really didn't want to tell anyone because they might treat me differently because I'm the Summers fiancees." I said as I turned.

"Well, am I treating you any different?" he asked. I chuckled and shook my head, we went over to where Andrew was. He was a bit mad but he forgave me then the angels made me promise to tell them everything since they declared me as there best friend.

"Now, I think you owe me a dance." Andrew said taking me away from John. We came to the dance floor and a slow song was going. "Gosh, I hate slow songs." he said.

"Why? I think they take your mind off time." I said as I danced with him.

"Don't you like the rush though? Watching time pass by, no longer being anxious." he said as I tuned my back and pressed it against his chest."Don't you want to live your life though? If time goes by so does your life." I said.

"What do you mean?"

"If time goest by, so does your life and so does the people around you. I want to savor the moment with friends, savor the feelings we have and everything we do." I said closing my eyes.

"Well you can make new memories." he said.

"That's true but don't you want to savor this time, like right now."

"I just don't want to be left behind everyone, I want to keep being there for them." he whispered in my ear.

"Distance was a friend of yours wasn't it? You and John only had each other am I right?"

"Yeah it was just me and my brother all right. It's probably because we didn't trust anyone back then until now."

"When time goes on really fast, you tend to do something you'll regret." I said opening my eyes. "The only thing I regret is letting this moment go." he whispered, I smiled and turned to him. "There'll be more times where we can dance so don't worry." We smiled at each other and continued on having our nice night, then John came over and we had a three some dance. It was such a wonderful night, I just wish it went on some more.
