Chapter 29 Pageant

I was at school early, in the Rose Palace, nobody was here but me. Moose had consficated my glasses because he said that it didn't look right on me and he said if I put my hair in an unorderly fashion towards him he would cut it off and I couldn't let that happen. Alex came in and waved at me, "Saw you at the party, you didn't care to say hi? No glasses?" he asked cheekily as he sat next to me.

"Oh, didn't see you, sorry." I said.

"Enough, what's going on between you and Charlie Bear?" he asked.

"She tried to slap Alice, do you know the reputation we had as the Guardians? That could hurt her, it could hurt everyone, all of you need to settle this little feud." I said. "You too Charlie." I said as she came out hiding from the rose bush.

"Look, I'm sorry for slapping you, it wasn't mean to be that bad."

"It was about to be that bad if she hadn't stepped in." Klaude said coming in. "The Alice Court hasn't said anything about it and from the concealer on Katie's cheek, neither has she."

"It wasn't my fault, Alice is making me so mad."

"That's not an excuse to act like a blithering idiotic child." he said slamming his hand on the table. His voice was raised and it sounded scary, Charlie had gone quiet and Alex hadn't said a word.

"I'm sorry." she whispered. "That's not any good, even if you say just those two little words nothing is going to change." Klaude said exasperated.

"Klaude, calm yourself." Alex said.

"Alex, you are the leader, learn to control them, put matters into your hand or something like that," he said pointing to my cheek, "Won't happen again." I got up to leave, I've had enough of this, I went out of the palace as the bickering went on between the three. I came across the hallway and I was muttering to myself.

"Of all the idiotic things to do you point to me and bring me in it." Klaude was goign to pay, just watch his back.

"What's got you all riled up?" someone asked. It was Adam, why now, I don't want to deal with this.

"Charlie, Alex and Klaude are fighting because of the stupid Alice Court." I said still walking.

"Shh, don't say that or they'll get there little minions to hunt you down." he chuckled. I scoffed at that, I came across a board and it had a pretty flier on it.

"What's this?" I pointed.

"That is the school's little pageant show. Now you see this school is very well known for there beauty of girls and guys, so they hold a couple's pageant show to see who is the Alice of the school and who is the White Rabit of this school."

"Why the White Rabit?"

"It's the White Rabbit that attracted Alice and according to different stories Alice fell in love with the White Rabbit once the rabbit took human form and spent some time with her." Adam said.

"So, it's a pageant for a bunch of snob?"

"Pretty much, my brother has won with Alice ever since we came to this school." he half heartedly chuckled.

"So pretty much anyone can enter?"

"If they have the spunk and guts to do it, why?" he asked.

"What do you think would happen if Alice and Carter stepped down from there little throne?" I asked mischeviously.

"All hell would break loose."

"Perfect."

I was walking down the hall as Adam kept trailing behind me following the plan, "You're about to do something that will make Alice pissed even more, aren't you?"
