For the rest of the day, Matt, Asher, Mike, Mara, Evelyn, Jordi and Rose barely interacted with each other, all due to the tension between everybody in the group. But when school time was over, an interesting exchange occurred...

Matt was walking out alone, his face stoic and still...and his thoughts gnawing at him on the inside.

This was interrupted when the last face he wanted to see showed up.

"Are you kidding me?!" It was Asher, and boy was he mad.

Matt folded his arms, attempting to maintain a poker face. "Not this time, Asher. I'm dead serious"

"Not this time?! I'm sorry, I'm not the one who insulted you in front of the class!"

"I didn't insult you. I said the truth, and the truth stings like insults"

"The truth?! The truth is that I'm a fake?!"

"Yes. And I finally got to say it, you really didn't seem too keen on hanging out with me. You were only happy to oblige with your favorite friend"

"That's not true!" Asher screamed in anger.

"If it's not, you didn't prove it. You know that Mike came up to me and told me to talk to you. He cares about the two of us. I didn't hear or see any of that from you"

"Well I'm sorry I don't go around like that! That doesn't prove I don't care!"

"He cares and he's reliable, unlike you, Mr Self-Profit"

Asher was seething with anger, red creeping onto his face. "How do you know that, huh?! If I remember correctly you guys just got into a fight! Sounds real reliable as a friend!" Asher didn't even mean to start Insulting Mike. He wasn't thinking before speaking. All the events that had been occurring were blurring his vision with anger.

"He's reliable as a friend because he would only fight me if he was worried about me or our friendships, not to get an apology, like you at this very moment"

"He didn't need an apology because he didn't get insulted in front of the classroom!!"

"He doesn't even expect apologies, Asher. You do"

Asher's fists curled up tightly. He spat out. "I expect one because I don't deserve to be insulted by someone like you"

"A lot of people did, and they got over it. You should too, because you're not getting an apology from me" Matt started to walk away from Asher...

But Asher couldn't handle it anymore. He physically lashed out, going for a hard punch.

Matt just barely dodged it and regained his balance. "Asher-!" He started to back away.

Asher glared at Matt with pure rage, something not a lot of people see from him. He went for another punch.

Matt yelped in shock. He realized what was happening so he spun around and ran back inside the school.

"Get back here you coward!!" Asher sprinted after the boy.

The halls were almost empty by now, so Matt had enough space to run but what he didn't realize was that Asher was a fast boy so...Matt was doomed.

After a few more steps, Asher had Matthew pinned to the ground...
