Hi guys, welcome back to this book. We're on chapter 5 so we hope you enjoy it.
This chapter is written by me :3In the noisy cafeteria, where students come to enjoy their food, talk with their friends and enjoy their time away from class, Matthew was waiting on his own for his little writing buddy. After a bit, someone walked up, but it wasn't Evan.
"That was interesting, no?" It was Mike.
Matt looked up, and hummed in curiosity while eyeing his friend.
"What was?"
"Evelyn was getting harassed and her friend almost started a fight because of it" Mike explained, looking over to the other side of the room.
"Miller? That is quite interesting" Matt replied nonchalantly.
"I wonder how you didn't see it or hear it" Mike leaned on the table with his hands.
"I'm immune to trouble and noise"
"Hah, ain't that the truth. I wish you'd do that kind of thing for me" Mike pouted mockingly.
"Except we're both good and we stay out of trouble" Matt retorted.
"You have a point there..." Mike paused for a second. He seems to be pondering something.
"You know, maybe you should talk with her sometime"
Matthew looked up again, even more puzzled.
Her?
"Who are you talking about? Fisher is one crazy gal" He shuddered at the thought of knowing such a girl on a personal level.
Mike shook his head in exasperation. His friend was just too clueless sometimes.
"No, numpty. Evelyn"
"....Why?"
"Well, she seems like a nice girl, and a popular one at that" Michael answered shrugging. That should be enough reason, but Matthew did not agree.
"Uh, except you forgot I'm not that out there"
"Well, you talk with me and Evan"
"Yeah, two friends is about as much as I can handle"
Mike rolled his eyes.
"Plus neither of you are popular nor nice. At least you aren't all the time"
Mike gasped in offense.
"That's a low blow, Anderson. Even for you" He chastised him.
"You know me well, Mikey"
"Okay fine. I guess I'm glad to have met you first, but jeez you're such a downer"
Matt gave out a grin that was more amused than sincere.
"Thank you"
Silence befell the two after that, with Matt looking over his "writing stuff" as Mike would say, and Mike scanning the room or "being a creepy weirdo" as Matt would put it.
"Evan's late" Mike remarked
"Where the hell is he?" Matt questioned
"Maybe he didn't feel like holding a pen today" Mike teased.
"Shut up"
Silence again, for a few seconds...
"Matt?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you know who that is?"
"Who?"
"That" Mike pointed to a girl dressed in a hoodie, sitting alone in a far table.
