Love-Induced Derange

Mara stared at the girl. "J-jordi why... wh-why would you do this?"

Jordi turned to Mara, the gun still pointed at Matt. "How could I not?! I wanted to date and be with Eve so badly, I was DONE with guys, and this.. this .. boy took her!! And I so badly wanted you too, but I found Mike worthy of you, but Matt" She laughed, a hint of crazy in her laugh. "Matt wasn't, He hurt her. He dated her KNOWING he didn't like her, and he took. Her. From. Me!!"

Even with Matt trying his best to remain calm, he couldn't help but frown in surprise at the revelation.

"I would be flattered if not for the tense situation..." Mike muttered to himself.

Mara went silent after that. Eve was the worst, by far.

"Why was being friends not enough for you?"

"Because I wanted more!! I wanted to wake up to that.. that cheerfulness!! Everyday! But no! HE got that, HE got to hold your hand! HE got to kiss you!" Jordi's grip on the gun tightened, she found herself crying and blushing.

"Oh Jordan..." Evelyn continued crying with Mara. Neither of the two brought their cellphones, they felt powerless, helpless.

"How did you manage all what you did?" Matt asked calmly.

"Oh it was so simple. I lured Dexter in with a little Insult and killed him in a isolated place, then I lured Nate with fake facts of the murder. I found this bad boy" She shook the gun "In my house, overly paranoid parents. And then I faked having detention and once everyone was gone, I locked all the doors, then eavesdropped on that Evan kid and that Aaron kid, then I pretended to be Aaron and contacted Evan"

Both Matt and Mike glared at her for her web of deception.

"So what is your goal here, exactly? Even if you got Matt out of the way, Eve would never take you. In fact, she'll probably never look at you again" Mike said, matter of fact.

Jordi glared at Mike. "Because then the trash and the root of the problems would be gone!" She turned to Eve. "An d I can protect her, keep her safe from people like HIM"

Jordi stared at Evelyn and Mara with emotionless eyes. While she did that, Mike looked over to Matt, gesturing to Jordi with his eyes and head. Matt seemed to have read what went through Mike's head and immediately shook his head no.

"Don't you dare, Henderson..." Matt mouthed, but Mike wasn't having any of it. He looked at Jordi, and making sure she was facing away, charged towards her and tried to grab the gun.

"MIKE!" Matt, Mara and Eve all yelled at the same time, startling Jordi for a bit before she felt Mike bash her from behind in an attempt to take the gun. The duo struggled and struggled...until what nobody wanted to happen, happened.

A gunshot was heard.

Mike and Jordi froze....then Mike fell on the ground.

"MIKE!" The three yelled once again, Jordi was still frozen with the gun in her hand.

Seeing an opening, Matt rushed in, but not before yelling. "Eve, Mara, get somewhere safe!"

He then knocked the gun out of her hand and it went behind the door. Mara and Eve listened to Matt's words and went over to Mike.

"M-Mike! P-please n-no. " Mara dropped down next to him, crying, "M-Mike P-p-please s-stay w-with me. d-don't .. p-please don't l-leave me!!" She held his hand, bawling.

"Mara, please don't cry. He's unconscious, but alive. Let's get him somewhere safe!" Evelyn reassured her and she started to pick the boy up, with Mara just barely nodding and helping her get out of that cursed room.

Meanwhile, Matt was struggling with Jordi.

"You're a pretty tough girl"

"Ha. I could say the same about you" She growled at him.

"I see you haven't lost your penchant for snarky and stealthy insults-" He tried to shove her, but she was holding on pretty well.

She tried pulling away again with as much force as she could. "Never will"

"I'll make sure you do" He replied bitterly. Matt really hoped someone was coming to help him. Anybody...
