Hello guys we are baaccckkkk to make our characters suffer even more. Hope you like it!
Evelyn was honestly too excited. It was finally Saturday, and Matthew was coming over today at lunchtime. She walked into the kitchen and found her father cooking something.
"Hello, little one" He greeted.
"Hi dad, I'm so excited!" She practically jumped up and down as he spoke.
He giggled a little bit and nodded.
"Me too. It should be...interesting"
Before she could go on some more about it, the phone rang.
"I'll get it!" The blonde ran over and picked up.
"Hello, this is Evelyn talking!"
Asher's voice came through the phone
"Hey Evelyn"
Her eyes lit up.
"Oh hi Asher! It's been a while, how are you?"
"Yeah. It has. I'm pretty good. You?"
"I'm pretty great as well! The school is good. I've been meaning to check up with you but I forgot, I'm sorry"
"It's totally okay, cutie"
Evelyn stopped for a second and coughed.
"Well, I guess it was nice catching up. I will see you on Monday. There's someone you have to meet" She giggled.
"Yeah. See ya then"
Unable to contain her emotions, the next words slipped. "I've got a boyfriend"
He was silent for a couple beats before finally forcing some words out. "You.. you did?"
"Yes I did. But I won't say much, you'll have to see on Monday, bye!" She felt herself blushing while giggling innocently.
"Yeah. I guess I will" He hung up the phone.
Not taking notice of how that ended, she went off to help her dad with preparations.
Matt was having trouble. He was sweating nervously and maybe even breathing heavily.
"Matt, it's okay. You're just meeting your future father-in-law, no biggie" Mike said, ever so helpful.
Matt blushed hard and shoved him. "SHUT UP!"
Mike giggled a bit.
"Why are you not hanging out with your new friends?" Matt raised a brow as he asked.
"Oh, they're busy. Not available to hang out today" Mike answered then shrugged a bit.
"So you're here to embarrass me?"
"No, I'm here to help you"
"I think your company would be desired elsewhere" Matt said, pulling out his phone and dialing a number, while Mike looked at him questioningly.
Matt was calling Mara.
She picked up a few rings later.
"Hello?"
"Hey Mara, it's Matthew"
As Matt spoke, Mike started to blush which made the former smirk a bit.
"I've got someone here who wants to arrange a meeting with you"
"Oh? well I guess it'll be nice to get out of the house. Sure, why not?"
There were faint sounds of yelling in the background.
His face crunched in concern.
"Ah, Mara. What is that?"
Mike raised a brow.
"It's uhm....it's nothing. Just text me the address"
"Well okay...I can't answer the question so I'm passing the phone now" Matt does so and Mike is holding it now.
"H...Hi Mara..."
She was silent for a couple seconds, the yelling in the background seemingly getting quiet then gone. She then spoke up.
"Hey..."
"It's Mike...uhm, I didn't plan this at all. Matt is being trash again but I wouldn't mind going out with you. W..what do you think?"
"Uhm.. Yeah, sure why not?"
"So, I'll send you the address to my house and we'll meet there, okay?"
"Yeah okay. See ya there"
The yelling seemingly picked up again.
Mike did not question it like Matt did so he just hung up after saying "Yeah, see ya"
Meanwhile, Matt was giggling like a madman. "Smooth, Henderson. Real smooth"
Mike blushed and shoved the phone in Matt's hands.
"Shut up, Mr Secret Admirer Note"
That remark made Matt quiet down then he cleared his throat.
"Anyways uh, I'll send her the address. Here we go" A bleep came from the phone.
"Done"
"Thanks, Matty"
"No problem, Mikey"
"And good luck to you" Mike winked then left the house.
Matt sighed and got ready.
